    Norway to NY

I live in NYC and would be down for beers on the weekend. Let me know if you have a hard time finding a place, AirBNB is still up and running here for the time being.

    Anyone from NY?

Brooklyn here. I've hit trails all over the country. Next trip is Vermont Overland Rally.

    Any Fellow Michigander?

Camped in the Manistee National Forest last night. Gonna make our second trip to the Silverlake Sand Dunes tomorrow morning as we're only here until Saturday. I can't wait to visit again.

How Many States/Countries Have You Been Too?

International: Canada, Mexico, Belgium, Israel, Costa Rica And in true Overlanding fashion, I've driven through every US State that I've visited.

    Michigan trails

Check out the Michigan trail network. My wife and I drove a bunch from the Petoskey area back toward the Ludington area over the summer. They're mostly 2WD sand tracks (if you're aired down) but a few tricky sections required 4WD. You do need to have the ORV permit and ORV trails permit...

The Search for the BEST Overland Camp Chair

I really like seeing these high end camp chairs, but we always end up happy with our (now closing forever) SportsAuthority camp chairs. When I'm on my own I'll just sit on my tailgate or try to find a big rock. I am considering getting some nice Kelty chairs for the next trip, as our $10 chairs...

    ALPS Mountaineering Guide Table

Nice setup! I have an REI camp table that I got for like 60 bucks and the retail is well over 100. If it holds my camp stove and leaves me room for a cutting board, I'm into it. I used to cook off my tailgate and having a table improved my overland camping by a billion percent.

    Rotopax VS Jerry Cans

I did a 9700 mile trip around the country over the winter, and I ended up using my 4gal rotopax can to get me through a few situations where I believe i would have ran out of gas. One of them was entering a massive National Forest in Idaho on only 3/4 of a tank in my overloaded Tacoma, where I...

    Jobs: Opinions, please.

A good friend of mine moved to Oregon from NYC to pursue wildland fire fighting (and is currently engaged in such tasks). He left a $100k+ ironworking job to look for more rewarding work. If you're looking to do that during the fire season, I will gladly put you in touch with him and you can...

Im planning on spending a day/night cutting through there in a couple of weeks on a roundabout way from NYC to Savannah. Any advice would be appreciated as I am a virtual stranger to the Southeast Sent from my Nexus 5X using Overland Bound Talk mobile app

    Overlanding Photos

Here is a photo dump (of just truck photos) from a 9700 mile trek I did over December/January. The off road pics are from the White Rim Rail in Canyonlands National Park, some trails in Riverside county, CA, and the Old Mojave Road which crosses California, Nevada and Arizona.
