What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Mainly for dust on the trail. I have a predicted coming. My air box gets pretty dirty so this was recommended to me. Besides, I like cutting up a perfectly fine truck whenever there’s an excuse to do so. Will look at waterproofing and vent mods you noted. Didn’t consider that. Thanks!

    Cookware that stows well?

I use a GSI Basecamp set. Get a second handle. Makes life a lot easier. I still take my Dutch oven and still use it quite a bit.

    Opinions on decked system

I keep a cargo net and strap ties and use as needed. I have 4 tie downs and it seems to be enough.

    Opinions on decked system

It takes about 30 min to remove and an hour to put back. A bit of a hassle. Having an assistant ( my 13 yr old son) helps until he gets distracted and forgot where he put a couple of bolts. Haha.

    Opinions on decked system

It’s a Leitner Designs ACS. Lots of bolt on options for gas, recovery gear, lock boxes, etc. A fishing kayak goes on top of this.

It was definitely a compromise for me to go this route. Time will tell. I like your set up. Cheers

    Opinions on decked system

I installed the Decked system on my truck recently and love it. I like having the secured storage and open bed since I decided not to put a cap on this truck. I store recovery gear and tools in the smaller drawer and use the other drawer to store gear based on the activity. The bed is shallow so...

Camp stove advice for plans for future global overlanding (Coleman Dual Fuel 424?)

I’ve owned a 424 since 1989 and it is my primary camp stove. It has been dependable. I have a back up replacement pump but have never had to use it. The second burner is hard to set for simmering but other than that, everything works great. I’ve never needed to run unleaded but good to know it’s...

    Overland Bound Founding Principles

I joined after seeing you talk about what OB contributes to the outdoors. Great being a part of a community that has fun in the outdoors while helping to protect it for future generations. Looking forward to the learning and fellowship.

Looking forward to learnings about overlanding and more importantly, doing some overlanding. I have a Chevy Colorado that I just put a shell on to throw gear in. I suspect that’s not the last thing that truck is going to get! Cheers
