Northwest - Memorial Day Weekend, WABDR (modified)

You would be fine in your truck. The only thing that requires a built vehicle would be if there is snow. Most of the route can be ran in a subaru.

Northwest - Memorial Day Weekend, WABDR (modified)

The Central Oregon Landcruisers will be doing some of Route 4 of the OBDR (the route from prineville to seneca) over memorial day weekend. We arent gonna do the whole route because we want to end up by the painted hills (if you guys havent been up there look it up). I have done this route of the...

Central Oregon Landcruisers are teaming up with the Forest Service as well as many local businesses to do a clean up of the China Hat area on May 20th. The forest service will provide the dumpsters at Coyotes Butte for the clean up and disposal of trash. We will finish the day off with a big...

The one I saw before the Oregon Trail Offroad guys had and I think it was made out of an old propane cylinder

Oregon people... I am a bit confused

That timing should be perfect. Should probably give you a little bit of excitement but still let you finish your route. Yeah as @raundhaus said "contained" usually means in a fire pit. Although I have seen people have contained portable fire pits that they mount to the front of the vehicle. Its...

Newbie wants to try OBDR Route #3 - Tips?

I dont have experience with route 3 but I have ran route 4 and some of route 5. We did it in early may last year and some might say it was too early. Being the first ones of the year on the route we had 4 saws going constantly to clear the trail. We had to reroute a few times because the snow...

Oregon people... I am a bit confused

I wasnt aware you need any permits at all. I cant speak for all of the OBDR but most/all of the route 4 to route 5 was all in the national forests (ochoco, malhuer, etc...). I dont know if any of the OBDR passes through oregon OHV areas but I have never been on any of it that does. The NW Forest...

    Ochocos explore and camp 12/3 - 12/4

Hey! Unfortunately we don't have a set route because it will greatly be affected by how much snow is up in the higher elevations. I think we will try and make it up to lookout mt. I have to be back in bend about 2pm on Sunday. Would be awesome to se you out there thhough

    Ochocos explore and camp 12/3 - 12/4

I posted this over in the trip planning section but figured this might be a better section. The Central Oregon Landcruisers will be heading out into the Ochocos to do some exploring and then camp Saturday night December 3rd. Should be plenty of snow. We are making this an open run for all makes...

    Oregon BDR 6/23 - 7/7

You are gonna love this trip. I havent done all the routes you are planning on running, but we did do Route 4 and some of Route 5 section 4 at the beginning of May this last year. The snow is always a concern early on in the year and we had to deal with it at the beginning of May. We had to...

    Central Oregon

We go out a lot here in Central Oregon. Its the Central Oregon Landcruisers so we are a club of Toyota 4x4 models, but a lot of the runs we open up to all makes and models as long as the drivers are willing to abide by our guidelines (which is mostly keeping it family friendly etc...). We will...

    Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route

@raundhaus I have a file that is the complete routes ran by a guy on a moto. I use Garmin Basecamp to read the file and then transfer the routes I want to my hand held. The stuff you get from the obdr organization is worthless. Honestly I don't think we could have found our way with what they...
