    The binocular thread.

Who all carries binoculars with them? I feel like it's a pretty common thing but I don't really see it mentioned when talking about gear we carry. I have an old set of Gemini model 435s that I'm carrying right now, but I'm looking to upgrade. Mainly looking at the vortex raptor series. I'd like...

    Chainsaws

I carry a stihl ms170 most of the time. It's pretty small and light so it doesn't take up a ton of space. Can be had for under $200 at pretty much any stihl dealer also. If I think I'll need it and have the room I'll break out my stihl 041av with a 20" bar. Is overkill for most stuff in my area...

    Handheld radio recommendations

I think I'm going to go with a gmrs radio with a couple handhelds because a lot of people I go with don't have radios so they can use the handhelds

    Smittybilt recovery tracks

I appreciate that man! I just picked up some x-bull ramps but I'm wanting a second pair so I might get in touch with you

    Matco Versapro2

This is a piece of gear I've never really seen in an overland load out but I feel would be extremely useful and it could definitely save you from being in a bad situation if the need arises. I work as a mechanic daily so I spend lots of time on tool trucks, that's where I found this little...

    Smittybilt recovery tracks

I found these while looking at recovery gear today, has anyone used them? I'm wondering how they compare to the speed master or x bull tracks https://www.quadratec.com/products/92201_3000_07.htm

    Overlanding with a Kayak

I've been kayaking since before I was overlanding. I have a 16 foot Prijon Kodiak. Lots of storage. I have had a chance to do a multi-day trip with it yet though.

    Missouri, Oklahoma and North Texas...

No problem man. I work weekdays until five so that might be a little bit of a problem but I'm sure we can figure something out

    Missouri, Oklahoma and North Texas...

Wing through the big town of Chickasha Oklahoma and I'll show you some stuff. Wichita mountains is my favorite place close to your route through Oklahoma. There's a few trails behind Chickasha lake here local to me too if you want to do some trail driving

    Handheld radio recommendations

I'd definitely be interested in that. I think I'm going to go for frs as a stand for the time being but I'd like to have a longer range capability. My main concern right now is vehicle to vehicle communication when I'm driving in a group

    The first of its kind

a little back story before we get into the real build stuff. This is a 1996 Mercedes benz C220. This is probably the last vehicle to be built as an overland vehicle but I have some good arguments as to why I'm doing this. The first founding principle of overland bound is; Overlanding is...

    Handheld radio recommendations

I'm looking for some recommendations on a good handheld radio setup. I do a lot of hiking so I'd like something that could perform double duty as a hiking radio and an overland radio. I was considering handheld cb's but I wasn't sure if there was a better option out there. I plan on adding a cb...

Hey guys, my name is Tanner(if you couldn't tell by my user name). I currently drive a 94 jeep yj, it's not a super common overland vehicle but I like different and it's very capable Offroad. I'm from Chickasha Oklahoma. I've only been "overlanding" for a couple months now, haven't done much...
