Thanks, this is a solution that will work well in car parks which we have used. Most of our travels are at dispersed sites off grid near streams & lakes. Will probably have to hand pump & filter into our 20l Scepter can from which pour into our main tank.
Hope to visit Bend soon -
Our 958 can tow 7700# - but all tow ratings are for flat & level surfaces. Glad the Overkill S.O.5.10 handled as well as it did in Moab with our rig. Big reason for us looking at trailers is to do more winter trips. Will keep in touch for future trips. Looking forward...
Glad to hear your trailer arrived!
We rented an Overkill S.O.5.10 from ROVE for a 2 week Moab trip. Wanted to experience it and see if our rig and it would play nice. We have been ground tenting for well over 30 years. Having a trailer, the Overkill in particular, is a very nice way to travel...
We are getting organized for full time Overlanding. Our trailer will have a 32 gallon tank.
What do y'all do for fresh water sources?
What precautions to insure it is clean / not contaminated?
Is there a preferred filtration cartridge for sediments? Do not want to cause pump & system issues
Is...

Have been off-roading our 958 disel since 2012 - 120k miles of principally off-road adventure. Plenty of day trips, we usually go out for 2 weeks +
Just returned from Moab - 2 weeks with a group. Colockum Pass (between E'burg & Wenatchee) can be done in as a day trip. Also the loop from Plain...
Welcome!
Latest trip for our Cayenne was two weeks in Moab. Have been off-roading our 958 since 2012 from the frozen Arctic Ocean at Tuktoyaktuk to the hot Chihuahuan desert. If you are a PCA member they did an 11 page article in Pano on ours in 2016. Link is to our build and some of what we do...
Our HAM is great for comms and calling in wild fires which we did once to the FS in Randel. We always take our CB especially in areas being logged where CB radio traffic is frequent. This is a Canadian video but also applies here:
Not knowing where folks live will suggest our favorite quick get-away camp spot north of Ellensburg ~4-5 miles up Colockum Pass Rd from the Gage Rd intersection. We usually group up and get 2nd B'fast at the Red Horse Diner.
Assume this is to be two days over a weekend at a TBD place?
-Or- a meet-up somewhere?
Most any weekend in May works for us. Being retired during the week also works. We are also hoping to get to Spokane, Boise, and Bend to look at camp trailers in May too. Considering a Mission Summit...
Missed the virtual campfire. We attended a training event that several SAR folks put on that included recovery training using our rigs and gear. They would rather train us than be called out to assist.
Depending on the date, we to would be interested in placing faces to names.
If you happen upon any playa's be careful of surface conditions. Ask locally and avoid damp / wet areas.
Spring runoff means wet surfaces / sub-surface that are difficult / expensive to recover from.

We have our Kenwood 710 stuffed into the ashtray. Its stable & easy to remove to stow in the glove box when not in use. The microphone lays nicely in the handhold. The plug-in for the radio stows nicely out of sight in the seam between the dash and center console.

Every choice has its advantages - one needs to look hard at what YOU really want to do. Factor in growth without getting too aspirational for what you want to and will actually achieve. We had a 1st gen four door Mitsubishi Montero which spent a lot of time off-road from the Big Bend, Mid...
