Where were y’all prospecting for the petrified wood? I did a trip a million years ago with my grandparents and found similar wood in similar terrain. I still have a pen base and bookends made as a result of that trip.

I run one. I have all of mine as short or low profile in the city. going out into the wilderness, I change all three into something larger to get maximum punch. I use NMO mounts to make it easy.

I used CPES on the bare wood. Hint, be sure you’re done cutting and trimming before you do it, the wood becomes rock hard. It’s also not a UV block, so I’ve got spar varnish on her. finally she stays in the garage unless out camping.
