Yes on the configuration. The option code is 6A6. I don’t recall the other option. I do know where the isolator would be mounted, and it’s not there. Before I leaned that, I confirmed they were truly in parallel by disconnecting each in turn and starting it.

My gmt900 Tahoe has factory dual batteries. There is no isolation on the particular option mine has. The hardware is very straightforward.

@Busaman2013 the Hill Country loop noted above is a nice way to get out and introduce your wife too. Beware the chance of flash flooding if it has rained, otherwise the water at the deepest crossing is about 8 inches.

Exactly. Determine what you and your rig can do sanely, and stick within those limits.
