@Shokgoblr if you hold your HT antenna perpendicularly to the ISS you’ll have the best signal. Back a few weeks ago when MIR was still up there, I used to use a mag mount stuck to my front door to hear the 2 meter signal. The radiating element was horizontal.

Conveniently, there is an ISS Detector app for your phone to help you know when the next few passes will be.

So FM I take it, if handhelds are involved. Those frequencies usually involve SSB.

Mine has two identical batteries in parallel, also with #2 between them. GM put a 175 amp mega fuse at the primary battery.

Most of us are in the Austin area. A few from San Antonio. We had a family from Florida join us this trip.

Be ready for lots of dust. And epic scenery.

This weekend near Cloudcroft, NM.

Is was kinda hot and dusty for that. We camped on the ridge off of Sunspot highway. @TravelerGAL it seems a lot of OB members were in Cloudcroft this weekend.

So were a group of us. We got a bit dusty on West Side road and other parts of the NMBDR.
