Just to clarify, this is a discussion on the "Best" ground tent, not just on tents. There are several existing threads on tents in general and specific types of threads. That's why I asked if you were specifically looking for the "best tent" in the second post of this thread.
Here's a previous discussion: What are the absolute best mud tires?
Also depends on your vehicle. In the case of AT tires, there were not KO2s that fit my Outback, so I went with Geolandar A/T-S tires. Lots of good info in the Q&A forums for you to peruse (which is where I'm moving this thread.)
Back in the '80s, Deb and I rented a house in Virginia. She was going to college, and I was working for a large international company at a local facility. One day, a corporate "cleaner" came around, and decided that our engineering department was redundant, and I was offered the choice of moving...
Oh, you're right. I use the light background style for viewing the site. It used to show up there, but now it doesn't. @Michael must have changed something. The location and globe never showed for me, but the word "MAP" and the member number did until vary recently.
I'm in Arkansas today. I was in Tennessee the other day. It usually has me in one of the 30 or so towns near me in northern Ohio, or out in the lake. :)
Yep, Subaru spacer lifts go on top of the struts under the body. It truly lifts the entire vehicle. Anderson makes spacer lifts up to 4" for Outback and Forester models. I'm not sure about Impreza. Near 2" of spacer lift, there are additional parts needed/included to space the differential back...
We did this last year, with folks listing what they spent their dividends and 20% off coupon on. I got the dividend email a couple of days ago, and the 20% off email just now.
So, what are/did you use yours for this year?
Last year I used mine to get a 50 L Yeti cooler for about the same price...
@FrankR I forgot about my SB800 flash.
Right now I'm carrying the camera w/24-120 and flash in an old LowePro shoulder/waist pack, the 150-600 in a generic insulated tube type lend case, and the 15-30 in one of Deb's insulated Vera Bradly lunch bags. :)
I'd certainly be more than willing to...
That looks like a huge pack! How does it work if only partially loaded? I typically carry a Nikon D750 with Nikkor 24-120 mounted, along with Tamron 15-30 and 150-600. Plus a compact tripod, kneeling/sitting pad.
Winter in deep snow,: Sorel Sentry boots that I've had at least 25 years. They don't make the steel toe Security any more, but the closest current are the 1964 T Wool boot; 10" boots with the felt liner.
Every day of the year when not in the Sorels: Salomon X Ultra LTR GTX GoretTex...

Hi,
Here's our communications forum: https://overlandbound.com/forums/forums/overland-communications.65/
And one specific to CB Radios: CB Radio (merged thread)
There are a few on antenna there, too, that might help you out.
I got this one from Amazon based on some input either here or T4R.org
My intention is to build some low storage into the 4Runner with a slide for my cooler. I want to put a pull-out shelf under the cooler with an opening for the sink. It collapses so it won't take much height. I'll cut the...
