I overland in an old highway patrol Tahoe. I picked up thecopcar for under $8,000 with 171K. It had been a supervisor rig, and didn’t have the wear and tear other might have.
I liked it so much that when job change (loss) took my company car I bought a second for $4,000 to use as a a daily...
Started working on a platform for a cooler or fridge. The side toward the center is open to allow stowing seldom used stuff.
I tossed a pillow up there to see if her highness will sit that high. I might end up bringing the platform across to gain storage.
West side of FT Worth is where I’d live if I moved back to dfw. That also gives you an hour head start going toward New Mexico and Colorado. There are places to explore, with camping on private land within Texas as well. The epic views and such do requ some driving time.
i Removed the rear seat in my Tahoe. My doggie has a bed in there to lay or sit on. At night the same bed goes into the tent or teardrop. Until I did that she never really got comfortable. Now she knows it’s her spot.
He’s definitely NOT done teething, so the cab would be a future choice. My last lab loved drywall. I came home once to find a hole in the middle of a wall. How she got her teeth into, I don’t know.
If you look at the efforts the muscle car guys did to get more air into an engine in the 60s, then look at the cross section area of any given snorkel, you realize it’s hugely doubtful the engine is getting more Air or enough better air to gain anything.
