Many bears can recognize the shape of an ice chest and tha5 it has food inside. If I were leaving a cooler of fridge in a pickup bed, do something to break up the outline as a line of defense.

I have a Scangauge2 as well. The main thing I watch is coolant temp. I also watch engine HP, for fun. I watch transmission temp with the DIC.

The techniques are not difficult. Main thing is take your time and check everything numerous times. I built the kayak from plans and a super detailed manual. I cut the parts myself thinking I’d save money. Not really, because the kit contains exactly the amounts of everything you need...
