Mechanically, my 4Runner is stock except upgraded tires. I have no plans to add lift, armor, bumpers, etc. unless I find a *real* need to do so. I have added comfort/convenience/storage modifications, though.
Well, it would have been, but apparently 1) my video skills are terrible, 2) my editing capabilities suck, and 3) my on-screen presence and voice is wooden and staid (wife's comments on my partially edited video review.) I'll have to find a stand-in the next time. ;)

Sure! I used one of these Powerlet receptacles, (http://amzn.to/2tAheLf) and mounted it though the honeycomb of my grille. I had to snip away some of the backside of the grille to allow for clearance of the washer and nut.

That's what I used to mount my awning on my Yakima Load Warrior for two years. Worked great! These are beautiful aluminum bits machined in the USA. New price is over $100 plus shipping, so a good deal.

I suppose you could. But then the fill opening would be on the side, so you would only be able to fill it about half full. You could fill it completely using the garden hose and house pressure method, but not easily out on the road.
