I've been using the Mr. Buddy running off of a 20lb propane tank this season (you can buy a hose and fuel filter and leave the tank outside of your tent) for over 80 hours of high-setting run time, and have been enjoying it. I'll echo @vidkun and say that it's best to have it sitting on...
Yeah, this was SUPER confusing the first Rally Point event I went to. I wanted to find the organizer's information and phone number, and couldn't locate the event quickly which caused a minor freakout since my cell service was fading.
I've been a DJ/Producer for the past 20 or so years and most of this stuff will be liquidated soon. Not to mention that fact that I never throw anything away. My house is an electronics graveyard. So much stuff that works perfectly fine but wasn't "good enough" at the time. Yard sale!
So, I just decided to cancel my monthly HBO subscription to become a monthly supporter of Overland Bound.
Since purchasing my dream vehicle (Jeep JKU) a few months ago and stumbling upon the overlanding community, I've felt more motivated than I have in years. Work has a new purpose (providing...
About 200 miles out in Indiana at a Loves feeding the dog and dumping some GoPro footage onto the laptop. Looks like we will be getting to our dispersed camping spot around 10:30 tonight. See you guys in the morning!
Hey all! I found out about this through word of mouth in our little Chicagoland OB group and thought I'd check it out. I'll be the only one from our crew, but I'm excited to meet up with you and make some new friends. I'm coming from Central Illinois, and it's a 7.5 hour drive if I don't stop so...
Does airing down significantly affect clearance? I went for a bit of crawling/mud slinging last weekend with camping gear on board and was worried that airing down would lower my clearance at the axles and so I left them at 30-32 psi. The ride was definitely rough, but I was able to get over...
No camping gear on the highway I get about 19 MPG with no lift and 32" MT's even with the winch and bumper. I got about 16.2 MPG on the highway my last trip with the 2 Plano cases on the roof and loaded up inside, staying at 65 MPH (doing 70 MPH brought that down to about 14 MPG). I am adding a...
My Jeep JKU's gas mileage wasn't really affected by a steel bumper, winch plate, and winch on the front. Then again, Wrangler's are also shaped like a shoe box. I only lost about 2 MPG when I added a small roof rack and two Plano cases, which speaks volumes about the Jeep's aerodynamics.
Waiting on my JKE Dock and RAM mounts for my phone, tablet, and GoPros! Super excited. Do you happen to know of any JKE Dock-friendly mounts for the Delorme InReach SE? I feel like I spent hours yesterday trying to find a solution and got frustrated and gave up.
