We're in the extended season here in NH. Getting much colder in the mornings! I'm seriously debating one of those 'Little Buddy' heaters to take the chill off in the morning. 3800 BTU seems about right to get the temp up fairly quickly in my 330 cubic foot cabin space. Or it seems like it...
I actually have had that conversation. Thought more of it being building a crew of sorts. It was stated as maybe, somewhere down the line due to other more pressing ideas to implement.
Maybe you backing this idea and others chiming in might move it up the list of importance..
On the extent of sharing routes/tracks. I'm on the fence about this. There are folks out there profiting from your effort of creating these routes/tracks and yes some are in this group. I have nearly all the class 6 and dirt roads of NH on my Gaia program. I am logging the tracks on my Dropbox...
Just returned from our south WMNF Foliage run. The main statement is: Don't wait any longer to get out there! It's here and going fast!
I took a few new roads both going up and returning to add to the excitement of the journey. Much more info coming as I start to upload videos at:
Byways no...
I started this series on my YouTube channel last week as we ran into the North Country of NH in hopes of catching Pittsburg in full color. Honestly, we were 1 week late.. What we did get was a fantastic show Pittsburg south into Colebrook, Dixville Notch and further to Grafton Notch! Evans Notch...
Antrim has several in the area. I've only been a couple. Plan to head back that way the following week for the foliage and explore more.
Legend is: Orange = Class 6 Light Blue = Dirt Road Purple = uncertain
As I explore I change to: Dark Green as easy, Dark Blue as moderate, Black as...
Part 4 is now up for your enjoyment! This is Grafton Notch, up Rt16 to Wilson Mills, on Parmachenee Rd and routing of the top of the Dartmouth Grant.
Byways no Highways Foliage North pt4
Next upload tomorrow is up East branch dead river road, past Garfield Falls and up on Diamond Ridge (all dirt)!
This is Evans Notch on Rt 113 WMNF! This area, up through Grafton Notch, to Errol is loaded with color!
I'm still uploading video's and shortly I'll post the part of Parmachenee to Diamond Ridge (dirt portion).
Just returned from the North Country NH Foliage run. I was 1 week too late!!! Points leading in (by woods) and above Pittsburg are burnt through and most leaves are on the ground. Points just south of Pittsburg are in full swing!!! Grafton Notch in Maine is busting with color as well! Don't...
Just posted on the WMNF FB page. Rain or whatever, I'm up there tomorrow! We had to postpone a day.. we're out of here in the am!!
It's a happening folks!
Sorry to hear about your well! I'm still good here, thou others are not.
I do see the drought playing a major roll in this years foliage season. Main reason I'm heading out early! All my low cover is peaking right now! So I would assume most low areas would be as well.
Basic statement...
You may get more responses by noting an area of interest.. just sayin'.. Many of the overlooks (vista) sites in New England are 4x4 to get to. Some require extensive mods. For car camping.. few that are not commercial CG's.
Far from a pro at video, so keep that in mind.. I am expecting some good color in the area I'm heading for. Pittsburg NH has changed so much over the years, yet what I'm starting to see is a return to what it used to be. Thats good for what we wish to see!
I found an interesting route that I...
