Till we talk tonight, I vote for option #1, with being flexible if we need to re-route/take a detour. In other words, lets start out as planned and see what happens.
I'll be happy to give you the grand tour of the trailer when we meet up! Till then, I'll give you this to get you started.
The trailer was put together by me starting around 2009, and is based off a little 4' HF trailer frame. I started a very popular thread on the JeepForum years ago...
I'm sorry you feel that way Vance. You asked for a plan, and we gave you a plan.
Since I was the one who wrote the vehicle requirement post (and the what and what not to bring posts), I went back to review it. Here's what I posted:
Vehicle Requirements:
Vehicles should be in good working...
Yes. Things have been all over the thread. And it seems like the person who started this thing has backed out. And we're coming down to the wire.
So to fill a leadership vacuum, Greg Eigsti, Oli Hellevik and I had a teleconference this past Thursday. We are taking the lead on this. After...
I would suggest to everyone: if you're just checking back into this thread now, to go back a page (or two) and read post #248 through #253 (on page 13). Those posts go over vehicle requirements, what to bring, what not to bring, when and where we're meeting-up, etc. There's some important...
I picked-up a NW Forest Pass today at Big-5 Sporting Goods this morning. Cost was $30 for one year. I'm figuring most dedicated sporting goods stores would sell them, but I didn't check to see.
Or the person who originally posted the RP can go in and edit the pertinent information on the RP (i.e. start time and place; number of participants), and make edits in the text in that post to tell folks to check the last few pages of the thread for any updates.
I'm thinking the folks who...

What should I NOT bring?
Please no smoking marijuana. I don't care if it is legal in WA. Please don't bring it to smoke it (put it in brownies or whatever instead).
No illicit drugs (I shouldn't have to say it... but I will... I guess I just did).
If you need to bring a separate cooler just...
What else do you need to bring:
Every vehicle should have their own copy of the WABDR map. That's part of the fun - following the map so you know where you're at. You can purchase one here below ($14.95):
Butler...
Ok... we're getting close to the ten-day countdown. We (Greg Eigsti, Oli Hellevic, and myself [Paul Dickinson]) had a teleconference call this evening, and tightened things up and filled in the blanks. Please read the next few posts for further clarification on what to bring, what not to...
I was station in Georgia (Ft Gordon) when I got my cell number years ago, and have had it ever since. Now I'm in SW Washington State. Grew up in FL, but spent 34 years in the Army so I was all over.
One thing about trailers - make sure you've got a matching spare tire for the trailer (not all trailers come with spares, or folks have changed out the trailer's original tire sizes but haven't got around to getting a matching spare yet). Unless the vehicle you're towing it with has a spare...
I am also happy to help lead, or be in charge (I'm not trying to take over by any means). Who's run this route before and feels comfortable being in charge and making decisions for the group?
Someone has to be in charge. Otherwise you'll never get anywhere. Been there - done that - learned...
I'll be pre-running the WABDR with a group (as a participant) the middle of June. I'll be taking the TJ and trailer on this pre-run - I don't want to be the slow vehicle with this group. The trail can still change a lot between June and September though. I'm excited to see what will be in...
I went back over to Cascade Locks and Stevenson today... since when I went last time the weather sucked. A few observations/findings:
1. The toll booth is manned 24/7. $2.00 to cross, and another $1.00 per additional axle (so I'll have to pay $3.00 with my trailer).
2. There is a little...
