US West San Diego Overland Bound Trail Runs

It looks like Inland Empire is doing a Bee Canyon run on Saturday Jan 19th. I think that's the furthest south they go and it's pretty close to us. Might be worth trying to sync up.

Well, thanks for confirming! (I was going to do the same last weekend.)

On that note, maybe we can contact someone to see if they need trash and stuff hauled out of areas affected by the shutdown?

We pulled off into Culp Valley area to check it out. I immediately drove into an embankment because I have no idea how to drive in fresh snow.

Snowed up in Anza Borrego today. Was pretty bizarre.

    Another Subaru Build Thread

Yeah that's one thing that no one seems to mention after doing a lift. A good percentage of us have it. Long story short, someone developed some transmission mount spacers that helps remove the shutter. You get a little bit of additional NVH, but it's almost eliminates it. The guy who...

Has anyone been out through Lower Coyote Canyon since they re-opened it last week? Curious how the third crossing looks.

I would like to try and find some snow up in Palomar Mtn. But I'm also trying to make beef wellington for the first time...so I probably can't escape the kitchen.

Man, it's either social media influence or collective consciousness, but I was JUST having a conversation about checking out stuff near Winterhaven/Yuma. It might also be that it's desert season, but I like the idea that something is in the air.

Definitely stock friendly. We use it as a intro to dirt for stock Subarus. Main issue with a full size truck is if another one is coming the opposite directions. Have fun y'all.

...but it's a Subaru Outback?! Build thread.

Can confirm Primitive skid plates are not in the way. Even with taking our the trans mount it's a pretty easy job. The worst part is that it took me a few minutes to remember how to slide the exhaust heat shield back into place.

Did you ever disconnect your front sway bars? Just asking because I tore the bushing and I'm debating on just saving $20 and just remove it.

Which one did you install? I was going to throw in the 60 yesterday, the 75 seems too stiff. I have a pile of them back when he was doing R&D.
