Battery Creep. Humor, depression and success.

At KIA we fixed most of the sensor problems with those snowflake washers. My boss hated warranty part jobs and we all knew the grounds sucked. Zim

Battery Creep. Humor, depression and success.

So thought I'd drop some lines on a creepy subject that many of us will be faced with sometime in their life. This is not about a guy in a alley with a battery. LOL I retired from the worlds largest canoe club in 2003 and started working on cars and trucks. When I got old I moved into the front...

Wisdom heard today from an overlanding old-timer about where to start

I'm a backpacker. I tear off the cover on a book of matches to save weight. LOL Seems like good advice tho. My opinion is this. Leaving everything behind and exploring is fun and should be stress free. Saving a few pounds here and there is a good idea I guess, but in the long run is it worth...

Need some help near blowing rock or Asheville

Sounds like a regulator. Check the local parts stores. You can take the back panel off and check the connection with a test light. ($5) If you access the regulator you can disconnect the regulator motor and put the window up, secure it with plastic wire ties. Zim

    Jumper Cable Circuit Breaker

I understand what you're trying to do. My opinion is this. Jumper cables are responsible for most of the battery, alternator, fusible link and possible ECU/PCM damage in cars and trucks. I've seen it all. I'd get a NOCO Boost GB40 which will tell you the unit is attached wrong, and that will...

    Interesting Article

A fellow over on Tacoma World said "These vehicles are very capable in stock form" and I'd have to agree. The research and development done by the manufactures is pretty intense and very expensive. I'd refer you to the guy in the big leather chair. After all, he has billions of dollars riding on...
