This Thursday! Come register for our Snow Ride in the Pines, the weather's getting there! Also come chat about future event plans this year. :sunglasses:
Lose weight?! My first meal of the year was at like 1215 this morning. Haha.
I suppose what I'd really like is to hit a trail I've never done, camp a spot I've never been, share a beer with someone I've never met, and give my daughter an experience she'll never forget.
I'm not an investor, so I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for. But I see your account labeled as a Member and Investor. There is a "Support" section on the forums and you can contact them via the support email address.
I didn't read the article, but nobody died so stuff like that rarely gets past niche news (offroad magazines, Facebook, etc). Shoot when I was at EJS someone's rig fell off the Moab Rim and killed 2 people, made it's rounds in the Jeep community but nowhere else.
Looks like it has great reviews, at least from the guy who added photos of his Gladiator. Looks like a nice rack. Personally I don't like half racks but for what it is, it looks like a good choice.
I wouldn't really look for the "best" per se. Ideally I would say search only for bed racks designed for your truck specifically but there are some universal racks that aren't half bad. Judge them more on the materials than anything else. Also figure out if the shape works for you, some don't...
I don't have a favorite go-to knife, but rather a small assortment of pocket knives and multi-tools spread out in my toolboxes, recovery kits, camping gear etc. But for the sake of showing off, I do have a couple "cool" knives.
- AK-47 bayonet back when they still used to let us take war...
I would Google search for "camping packing list", "offroad recovery packing list" etc. and pull the things you like from each and make your own list tailored to you. What I like to do is think, 1 - what do I need to cook/eat during this trip? 2 - what do I need to sleep during this trip? 3 -...
You know I didn't really think of this in our other thread because I'm not much for custom work, but you can get "woobie" poncho liner / blankets for really cheap and sew them yourself. They run about $40 at any surplus or online retailer like Amazon. It is the warmest blanket I have ever had, I...
You'll get some replies here with options you're looking for, just wanted to add input from a non-heater user. I sleep in a ground tent and I don't use a heater at all. All you need is a great sleeping bag. Some blankets and a foam pad under your butt go a long way.
For your RTT, heater or not...
This is a broad answer, as I don't know what you already have and what types of trips you take. My number one tool is my winch, I been stuck in some places where stacking rocks and traction boards just didn't help and if I had a winch at the time I would've been out in just a couple minutes...
Man, I've had a set of those little brass screw-on deflators for years and while it's a cheap, no-bragging-rights, deflator, I've never thought of replacing them. They're so simple and you only need to set them once for a lifetime of use. I have mine set to about 15, my version doesn't have the...
Welcome! I used to live in Monmouth Co, now I'm down in Ocean Co close to all the forests down here. Let me know if you're interested in a ride! There are 3 upcoming Rally Points in NJ right now, and they're all hosted by yours truly. Hope to chat soon.
Correct me if I'm wrong, there's also a park in the Northern section that closes at dusk. And unlike the Southern sections there's actually a gate they put across the road. I ran into it a couple years back but I don't recall the exact spot. I went from High Point to Assunpink Lake in the first...
The last time I was able to do the full trail was late 2021, though I hit the Southern section often. I have made some comments here about changes to the trail, but I don't have the technical ability or knowledge to fix the route in the app.
