Take 115 south out of CS, head to Penrose and take a right onto HWY50 West to Canon City. Once to Canon City take a right onto Field Ave and fallow it through the eastern side of town until you get to Res Cañon Road. Take a left to get to the Red Canyon. The road was paved when I was there last...

Welcome @MrWSM1 i can’t wait to hear more of your adventures in the South. Even though I have been there, all my Overlanding experiences were done with my feet, and I had no clue to where we were going, how long we would be staying once got there, or how I was returning to civilization. The...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

I love my 18v cordless grinder... I have used it more than my corded one... which says a lot.

    Overland trailers

I have the perfect trailer for you then... it’s called... wait for it... a Wrangler. Tug it behind your Class C for remote exploration from base camp. No seriously look into a Harbor Freight/Tractor Supply trailer and build it up to suit your needs... if that’s too much work for you, Oregon...

@Sweeneybuilt welcome Zane from Oregon. Where was that picture of your YJ taken? I used to wheel around CS, Pueblo, Florence, Penrose, Salida, and Woodland Park. Pretty country over there... I loved the area, hated the city life... glad to be back in the Northwest.

EDIT Post Falls/Stateline Area Rigs and Coffee

I wouldn’t blame you Chris if you didn’t bring the soft top... after seeing your DD yesterday, I would really like to see others from your collection. I’m not much of a Landrover lover, but the collection you have sounds very interesting to say the least. I can’t wait for next weekend folks...

    Help me pick a truck.

Funny how there really isn’t much difference in terain between you and I, but here most of the Farmers and Ranchers run Dodge because Ford and Chevy Sean to shake apart more. And I have seen this firsthand myself... although before the second generation of Ram, they all used GMC ... I don’t know...

    Help me pick a truck.

Dodge doesn’t hold up... I disagree...400,000 miles on old blue, she’s a gas 3/4 ton btw, 300,000 have been put on by me. I did everything with her from DD to towing logging equipment to use her as a service truck loaded down with tools, to Overlanding, and most recently as a mud racing truck...

    Newbie Here

@SoWhyDon'tYou Welcome Lisa. You live in a very beautiful region. I lived in Governeour, NY for 5 years or so. I loved exploring the Andriondacs. My favorite places to go where Cranberry Lake, Lake George, and out by Oxbow. There is an old flower mill near Oxbow where the muskies would come...

@rockymountainfry nice Jeep TJ. Welcome to Overlanding. You are in the Rocky Mountain West Region, @Cendee is your Region’s Director. Billings Montana isn’t too far away from @Sandpoint Steve group of Overlanders in Sandpoint Idaho, so you might want to fallow him for some semi-local trail...
