The only reason I run GAIA is because BCN isn’t supported on iPhones... I really don’t want to switch back to android.... but if APRS isn’t supported, then I might have to.... unless the new OB 2.0 takes care of it.. I will be sure to make the suggestion...
That sounds like when I am planning my first overnight trip on Mt. Emily... could easily turn it into a day longer if you want... still playing by ear due to this Virus thing.
You pick a weekend and head up to La Grande area, 2 hours west of you, and I can show you some interesting places... also I head to Sumpter a lot during the summer months, lots of meet places to explore near that ex mining town.
I think my old desktop (not that old, but I haven’t seen it in 2+ years) was running a dual boot Windows 10/ SuSe Linux Distro.

@OTH Overland Dream rig is a Yaesu FTM-400XDR. Most of the local Ham Clubs guys here run it... so having the APRS system will make things easier to do things with them.

Is Wires still a thing? Or is it now only Wires-X? If wires is still a thing then the FT-2900 has wires capabilities... if not... then a digi radio is out for a month or two...

Could... but goes back to no sun where I can put a solar panel... battery= money: solar panel = money... power converter = free... I also need a power supply for my rc hobby, so goes back to still need a 50 amp power supply and I have 2 inverters one doing nothing and one running 25% of its...
