From what I understand the logging industries has gone to commercial radio licenses. So unless your group runs CB, it’s probably not going to do you any good. As for Ham... it too has its limitations... Emergency Sat Coms are about the only way to go unless you get your General Class...

So you are saying the things I needed addressed just aren’t there... but I was able to do it all on CalTopo by just exporting the GeoJSN file... notes, colors, icons, it all transferred, along with the layers we wanted to use...
So I do have some issues with CalTopo as well... the rout building...
Actually I don’t really have any questions Jon, I have a really good club that loves field day... it seams like they have been prepping me for field day since I walked into the clubhouse back in January. Knowing that I enjoy camping, and planning larger campouts, they have asked my help...
Chris, I never got a ticket #. I emailed them three separate times through the support link... finally out of frustration I cancelled my subscription.
As for sharing tracks... yup that part is easy.... but we needed to share the whole downloaded map with layers, waypoint names, correct icons...

We ground fuel trucks during refuel because the fuel moving through rubber hoses generates static electricity... and 50,000 gallons of fuel getting sparked wouldn’t be fun. But a normal rig... I don’t see the point.
