That could have been much worse. As for your awning, I think if you got some big vice grips, and some self taping metal screws you could Noodle it up to be useful until you can replace it. Squeeze together the areas that are pulled apart, pop some self tappers in the two sections and at least...
brown santa dropped off the rear upper arms yesterday. WOW, they are much more stout than the stockers. A great upgrade on the back end. Our tires will be here tomorrow or friday. Then, we can get back on the road safely.
I hope the sleeves are easier to get than my lift kit. ordered april 13, from my local dealer. They checked and it was showing in stock, it's still not in!
I have never traveled internationally myself. I have hosted many others who have in the 2 wheeled world. These are the questions I always ask them. What are the people like in these places, where there any issues crossing borders etc. I am truly curious about the world. Great list of questions...
2015 is MUCH improved via the 2010 FDII I owned. The CVT is pure sewage in the patriot. Our 6sp has very close to the low gear ratio of the FDII plus a way higher top end gear ratio. Best of both worlds with none of the reliability issues that plague the CVT from Jatco.
I have the plug and play harness. I want to terminate it with a flush mount plug in my bumper instead of having the wiring connector just hanging down from the back end of the jeep. I am going to try one of the options posted here.
Michael, If you are using this to gather information for OB1. My biggest issue with all other platforms (besides gaia) is support for canadian mapping. Other platforms etc have outdated mapping, where gaia has pretty current mapping and various layers etc. That's why I am using them. They are...
Cool, I will have a look here @grubworm. @bgenlvtex, It's a 2015 Jeep Patriot. It does not have a 7 pin for obvious reasons of a lightweight rig. I am hoping I can come up with something for the wiring. I am installing the hitch this week coming up.
I am looking to flush mount the trailer wiring harness in my bumper instead of having the wires haning down under the rig. Anyone know where i can get such a beast? my initial searches bring up nothing.
Brown Santa arrived again this morning with the front control arms. The rears are arriving on the 30th. I am going to be installing these asap. I will pay for 2 alignments when i install the lift after. But these need to be installed yestarday as I am wearing tires as fast as they are...
Well, I have had intermittant issues with shimmy and vibrations for a couple of years with the pat. Finally figured out it was the control arm bushings. It was causing choppy wear on the front of the rig, my rear has sagged so much that the rear tires look like a female dog taking a piss. We...
Maintenance parts for a H3 are a mix between canyon and trailblazer parts. Besides body panels alot of things under them are interchangable with the chevrolet cousins. They are great rigs but have terrible outbound vision inside the cockpit.
Trailer hitch finally got here. WOOT. Installing it today ( I Hope ). Just waiting to hear from my friend to help. That will be another thing off the list of to do's! If we get it done, I will have some install photos etc as well.
Are you people having issues with getting parts quickly? I have had a bunch of stuff ordered for weeks and still not here. Rough country full lift kit, new tires and other suspension bits. NONE here. anyone else having this issue?
