Outback owners who came from Wrangler unlimited...A couple of questions!

So, I know alot of former JK unlimited owners have moved to outbacks for various reasons. I have a couple of quick questions. 1. What is the rear cargo space in the OB compared to the JKU? and how does it ride off road. Mainly on fireroads, and bumpy trails. Our Patriot is really stiff...

Who here is also exploring in a small Jeep? Cherokee, Compass, Renegade? Post photos, lets see them.

No problem. I even felt that E load LT tires were too much for my 2 wrangler unlimited we had. At the end I was searching for C load 33s or 35s. But it's much less of an issue in a lightweight rig. Just run a good quality P tire and you get better gas milage because of weight, and better ride...

    Photography

Took this one with my iPhone 13. Added a filter in Polarr just for a moodier look. I thought the color of the leaf was interesting against the fallen tree and branches.

    Considering an AWD Toyota Sienna

There are acutal pop top kits for many current vans too. Like the old vw vans. Gives you standing room inside your van which makes for a more enjoyable time if the weather is not the best. Might want to check those options out too. I would love to have a current sienna AWD lifted with a...

Falken AT3W. We have had these on our Patriot for almost 2 years and they are awesome. Quiet, lots of off road grip, great in snow, good wear after almost 2 years we have approx. 50 percent of tread left. For a lightweight rig like the compass, Do not get LT rated tires. They are way to heavy...

100 percent. I may have to get Murchinson springs for our rig too. For towing our camper etc.

I think you can't go wrong with anything from MFC. Do NOT buy rough country's lifts. It was junk on our patriot.

    Budget Weekender Rig

That gen crv can take a beating. No issues at all besides the rusties. The newer ones with the roundish smiley face are brutal. Stay away from those. Rav's. Can't go wrong. Also look at subies and small jeeps too. We love the patriot and theres a decent aftermarket for it. Just don't buy...

Thanks, I subscribe to front runners emails. I may go that route as well. Get the front runner rack, and 4 of their boxes for the roof. Either way, we will have lots of storage for our gear. Check out amazon for the half racks, that is where I saw them.

Third try - now a Bison!

No, I am not running that unit. I have one for our patriot. And I wish I got a more powerful unit, but at the time, I did not know any better and our stock radio shat the bed, so it was "we need one right now". I am fine with ours, but wish it was faster. If I get the little bit of rusties...

Get a half basket and the kayak rack. Best of both worlds. There are ways to configure the little rigs for everything. We are adding two narrow “space boxes” on the roof of our patriot for a trip we are taking next year. We are connecting the sylvansport with all their goodies, hitting the...

This is one option. I would recommend you go with the upgraded ram/rom on it too. Ours is low powered and you can tell when trying to get apps to fire up. But once it's running it's great. OEM 9 inch Android 13.0 for 2017-2020 Chevy Chevrolet TrailBlazer S10 Colorado Isuzu D-MAX Dmax MU-X...

Jeep Wave is dead. Now introducing the Overland Wave!!

My wife and I were coming back from a trip to visit our son in St. John's a few years ago, another Patriot was coming towards us the the driver waved! We were so excited to get our first patriot to patriot wave! Ha ha. I agree. Owning a Jeep and using it as a mini van does not make you a...

Taking our 2016 F150 to the next level.

Awesome, thanks for the tips! I will totally check out the KustomFX switches. I need to keep the steps as the folks will be using the truck once every 6 - 7 weeks to goto my dads dr. appointments. I like them being in a bigger vehicle on the highways here.

Taking our 2016 F150 to the next level.

Well, we have decided instead of trying to get another Jeep, we are going to build our 2016 F150 Screw 5.0 to our next rig. We will be starting to gather the stuff to build it next spring. The plan is to lift it with Rancho's 3 inch lift kit with adjustable 9000s front and rear. For a little...
