The roof rack is amazing. But get creative before buying their accessories. More often than not you can make something cheaper and it works just as well. I've got their maxtrax mounts which make a ton of noise when the maxtrax are in them. I've also got the tie down which are only a few bucks...
It's not designed to charge a battery, especially an AGM battery, and especially from 25%. It's only going to trickle charge the battery. You should charge the battery up to 100% first. For example, my Zamp 100W panel is there to keep my battery full when parked and I have my fridge or lights...
Remove that front air damn and you'll fall in love all over again. I'd remove those step rails (rock catchers) if you plan to wheel it which I assume you do. Then, if it were me I'd find ZR2 wheels and tires that someone w/ a ZR2 took off and put them on that badboy.
With the amount of aftermarket crap on my truck, if I had to pay someone to do it I'd be in a lot of trouble. Check youtube and forums for advice. Just give it a go..
You went mainstream when you paid to be a member of this forum. They are carrying Zamp which is USA made, 23zero which is Aussie, and Snomaster which is a mix of countries. But, you know that already.
If you are going to go that route why not just get a base 4runner or Cherokee / Grand Cherokee trailhawk. At least you'll have some capability and no regrets later.
All,
Just to make you all aware, Pep has taken on some lines in their speed shops. 23zero, snomaster, smittybilt and more coming. We did a little photo shoot today to promote it for Pep..this was in East Brunswick NJ
The details are on the officialpepboysspeedshop IG page if you are interested...
They were good. Just re did all of my wiring and wanted everything to be clean and new. I went w/ the lightforce venoms. They're super expensive, but they throw the light far. The other pair I had were bright but scattered light all over. They both do their job well.
I made these patches / decals to sell to support NJBBA, 4Ocean, and Tread Lightly! in beach clean up efforts. The design is meant to show the Barnaget lighthouse, the Pine Barrens, and the Trans NJ Trail. If you are interested in showing support please check out www.newjerseyoverland.com
Yep, pros and cons to everything. I went with price and reliability. I've tapped some holes in my inner fender to mount the relays just haven't actually put them in yet.
Here's what I went with. Made it a breeze to wire anything. Just make sure you've got everything fused up. It's not wireless but I think this will be way more trouble free. I've got a set of rigid pods in it, a pair of lightforce lights, among other things.
So I'm a brand whore and will admit it. With that said, I've got two Yetis pictured above and bought the wide mouth hyrdoflask at REI as an impulse buy. I like the performance of the hydro flask better. It def. keeps ice longer. W/ that said, if OB made a cool design on one I'd buy it but it...
