Correct. Show up for the driving test in a Silverado or Tahoe, and you are denied.
To me, if I witness a 16 or 16 year old wielding a Tahoe around well enough to pass the test, they get a gold star!
I'm pretty sure my brother took his test in our old
Funny how times change. Here in Taxachusetts, kids can no longer take the driving test in a vehicle if the instructor cannot reach the emergency brake. None of the US made cars or trucks in the 70's had center e brakes. They were all left foot pedals
Wow. I hope you fully recover.
I've worn prescription eyeglasses since I was a kid. I get my sunglasses prescription and polarized, not glass, and coated. I find this tends to cover me most of the time, but that was a real freak accident. One for the books
Did the front hubs on my old 99 Grand Cherokee. Three pound hammer came in handy. Part of me wants to do them on the 14 Sierra now, before they even more difficult to remove. But if I did everything I was thinking, I'd be broke. I'll play it by ear and see what they look like when I'm there...
I beleive mine were original to 100,000. I'll change them again at 200, I think. I downloaded the GM schedule. Funny thing about that is it doesnt always match up against what the dealer is telling me
Eh, I busted my knuckles on the rear spark plugs, may as well handle the brakes as well.
Good to know they are good brakes. I've never used them before
Yes, sir. I had blood there and on the back of my hand by the time it was all over. By the steering column rear turned out to be worse than the passenger rear for me, but they both sucked.
Unreal how you have to remove the oil fill cap and dipstick, and the PCV connection, so you can remove a...
Yeah, both of those rearward ones were tough. Passenger side was a little easier or I got lucky. I used a small step ladder and went in from the top instead of jacking it up and going through the wheel wells.
1) Your wife will drive a Hummer
2) Your wife will help you clear timber
3) Your wife is complicit in buying a winch (for Valentine's Day, no less.
What a keeper! You'll have to do more than just make her breakfast for Valentine's Day. $$$
Just bought new spark plugs and spark plug wires for my 2014 GMC Sierra Z71, and installed them myself. It amazes me the sheer size of the hood of my truck, and yet how little space there is in the engine bay.
Next up:
- PowerStop Z36 truck n tow drilled and slotted brake rotors and pads
-...
I dont think I will need to buy a higher output alt. These 2014 GMC's ome with a tray ready for a second battery - a series 48, I beleive. Need some battery cables, an isolating relay plugged into a switch fused location in the engine bay block. An accessory block like the one on top of the...
There was a big push for National Carry back in the mid 1990's. Obviously it got nowhere. So within my circles, there was a big push to get licensed in the several states that had the highest reciprocity so one could essentially carry anywhere. I never bothered with that, as most of my travel...
My Sierra came with a 150 amp alternator. Dont recall if it's part of the z71 package or the tow package, but I'd like to set up the second battery as well and use it for lighting, communications, charging devices
