Yup. That was my point to the question. Lifting a 4runner doesn't matter based off of trim level. It's where you want to go, etc. I've got a tacoma TRD sport w/ no locker. It's lifted on 32" tires. I've yet to wish I had a locker in the rear. At some point I'm sure it'll come in handy but I've...
Not going to give fix the issue of driving through 3 feet of water or go around it when you have to fit between two tight trees. If your going to go fullsize I would go excursion with a 7.3.
It's too long for the tacoma. Basically, I need to raise it higher and have it hover over the cab. I have it setup perfectly so I can still fit in my garage though. Yes, the XL would have been better. I had a 23zero walkabout 72 which is massive and perfect size. But, couldn't fit in the garage...
I stick with Maxtrax. They're proven time and time again and they are more than just plastic. When out alone and I need them I'll never drive along asking why I spent $300 on a set of boards. However, if I go cheap and they don't work, I'll def. ask myself why I didn't.
Cheap / Smart is synonymous. I use this. Not cheap, but it works.

We did the ride today, it was a great time. The rigs and coffee was cancelled due to weather. I'll probably reschedule for September. I'm not sure I'll be able to pull it off in August.
I just ordered from these guys..

I just ordered a sample pack from these guys. The other brands all taste good but the amount of carbs was killing me. Of course, they are all loaded with salt. The good to go brand is way too carby for me to even try...
15 is too low for that car and situation. How much gear do you carry? Fully loaded, in soft sand I do 15 psi in my tacoma. On a standard trail you are explaining I would stick to about 24 psi mostly for comfort. With not much sidewall and relatively easy trail I'd probably go no lower than 25 if...
So, OK4wd is a great company. I'm friendly with the owner and staff and would never speak poorly of them in any way. However, you'll pay for their knowledge there so keep that in mind. If you've got a wrangler I'd suggest checking out The Road Chose Me on youtube. He will walk through his Jeep...
For anyone who registered, you likely received an e-mail last night. I'm not an organizer or affiliated with this event in any way. I'm just a participant. The event states we can now pick our own dates and arrive in groups up to 6. I'd like to go in the fall and am looking for a crew to attend...
Yeah, it's a peregrine 180. If you want it to run across the back of your truck you'd need a 270. I like it a lot, it's super quick to setup and take down which is why I got it.
