A bit off -topic (mods forgive), but I have a 2014 GMC Sierra of the same configuration and have a bed cap on as well. Basically the same truck. If you do go with the level kit, you may want to make sure to put some blocks in the rear. I leveled mine and with the Leer cap and some equipment in...
I mentioned it in the air compressor thread, I used the Ryobi p731, not the p747 air compressor. Both use the 18 volt batteries. So I got thier circular saw and drill, and leave the old Sears Craftsman cable ones at home and leave these in my truck. It's not like I'm a construction worker. These...
As you've seen, I have a shell on mine, but I think this "over-shell" contractor type is great. Seen it in other threads. A nice shell for dry, safe storage or sleeping, and the contractor rack for kayaks, RTT, spare wheel, or whatever
Yes, sir. General Motors. I had thier best tier "Original Equipment" stuff on my truck. I think that replaces thier Gold or whatever they named it before. The "Advantage" branded stuff is thier budget, and "Professional " is mid range.
The top tier stuff was very very good. Hope it still is...
If your wife is 4' 11" I would say no more lift! Ha ha
I've leveled my truck and may put blocks in the rear, but I have step boards. They are helpful for her and for securing the kayaks
I've been using a simple, portable Ryobi p731, 18 volt, LiIon battery operated hi and low pressure inflator deflator. Small, portable, convenient, not too expensive, and runs on the same batteries that the Ryobi portable power tools like circ saw and drill run off. Tops put at 150 psi. 3 year...
Top picture = the GM stuff I took off after well over two years. Look at all that meat left!
Bottom picture = the new Wagner stuff when it went on back in may.
Now I have wobble and not much life left in them. Paid half what i would have paid for the GM stuff. Well, so there goes your proof.
No offense to DanWyandt, but I put Wagner pads and rotors on my 2014 GMC Sierra shortly before heading out on a 6 thousand mile trip last May that took me from sea level to 10,000 feet and back.
I am not impressed. They did fine on the trip but have developed wobble, and it hasn't even been a...
I like to throw a few subtle references out there. Tells me who's on a similar wavelength.
Saw him live on his last tour. Twice. Once in Virginia Beach, once in Boston.
Love "Sunspot, Baby" and "Tryin to live my life without you" but I've never heard him do that last one live, myself
Congratations on getting 3 months straight off from work! If I'd had 3 months, wow i could have seen a lot. Congrats as well on such a considerate and substantial gift!
Anyway, all of the above is true.
When you think that your average vehicle in the 1950's and 60's was able to drive through...
...sand the 350 with 4 speed (auto and manual) from the 1970's carried over all the way through 1994 when the last full size, 2-door Blazer rolled off the line. But by then the 700r4 became electronified and was dubbed the 4L60E, and the 350 motor had been given throttle body and electric fuel...
