Well according to that article, my 9/16” grade 100 chain is double the strength of the pull of my winch with the same sized cable, of corse you don’t use open hooks with chain; who is that dumb? Also you don’t go jerking on a rig while using chain, you ease into the pull to take up slack... btw...
