Chris, Welcome from the NW corner of Washington. Always good to dream about the ultimate rig, I know I have a few I would like, but I also feel the best overlanding vehicle is the one currently sitting in the driveway. No matter what it is, you can just get in and explore. As far as your...

We had looked at the Grants Pass event, but think that might be a bit far given my current to do list that does not seem to end. Looking forward to meeting you sometime soon.

US Northwest THE 39th ANNUAL MIKE AND KEY ARC ELECTRONICS SHOW& SWAP MEET In Pullayup, Washington

Mike, i second the Motel Six boycott, seems lately the "we will leave the light on for you" tagline is just to keep the roaches at bay..lol We typically stay at the Best Western Plus at the South Hill mall, its nice and only a few minutes from the fair grounds, but bit pricey. There is...

VJ, Welcome to the group!, The older Cherokee is a great little rig for exploring, really capable and lots of parts and accessories to be had. Sounds like your already off to a good start with the lift. Enjoy your travels.

US Northwest NW Washington Monthly Campout: February Edition!

Glad we took the time to head up for a day trip. We really enjoyed meeting everyone and visiting for a while around the fire. Looking forward to future events when we can partake in the camping too. A big thanks to @Gabriel Bozeman for hosting the meetup, and great to meet your family.

US Northwest NW Washington Monthly Campout: February Edition!

Hoping everyone is having a great time camping, while we did not have time in the schedule to head up for camping, we do hope to have some time for a drive up in the morning for a quick visit and to say hi. We did have a quick camp fire in the back yard tonight with some pie iron sandwiches...

Do you carry your good tools on the trail?

All of our vehicles carry a standard OK quality pre-packaged tool kit (in a blow molded box for about $100). Good enough to fix most minor issues when around town or on the highway but not something to worry about too much if it gets stolen. Chances are I can walk or get a ride to a tool or...

    US Northwest NW-OR SW-WA Meetup

I would agree as someone from out of area it was not obvious who was a member. (Steve's rig was proudly displaying a base camp flag out in the rain) but it might be a good idea on meetups in areas with non members mixed in to have a table or area with a welcome sign and some name tags with the...

Many thanks to Spud Built for the impromptu meetup! Well worth the 250 mile drive to checkout Mule Expeditions (great place and staff, and yes they did manage to extract quite a few benjamins from my tight wallet .. lol) Was great to meet Steve and his other half, along with B Wild who...
