Another WJ 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee DDable/Weekenderlander (slow project)

We have been been brainstorming ideas for outfitting the interior of our WJ. We currently remove the lower back seats, fold down the upper portion and use a plywood sheet to make the platform longer. Problems are; we have to remove all of our gear and place it under the Jeep when we sleep or...

Hello and welcome to the group, you will be surprised how capable a stock Jeep (of any flavor) can be. We have had a completely stock Jeep Commander over many trails in the Moab area and Alpine loop area of Colorado. We currently have one stock Jeep and one modified, they both see a lot of...

    Cab/radios?

Spent many years driving semi truck, and was always used full size Cobra 25 & 29, usually with various mods. Now with CB going by the wayside and limited dash space in the newer vehicles, I have gone to the all in one units, I have a Cobra 75 in the motorhome, and a Uniden CMX760 in the Ram...

    My build/adventure/Me thread

Thank you for starting this thread, we love the Colorado area (especially the Alpine loop), It was a nice break to look through photos of your trips and projects. The trailer projects has me thinking of finding a donor WJ to make a matching camp trailer for my rig.

    Sheltered in the Bay Area

I will post up some photos when I am done. Just was not happy with the commercial options available, either too bulky, too wobbly or both. Should have it installed this weekend. Will probably start a thread for the jeep as i have a few other ideas/projects in mind for this spring.

    Sheltered in the Bay Area

I have noticed quite a few WJers in the OB, we could do something perhaps in eastern Oregon (Bend / Crater Lake area perhaps) kind of half way between north and south. Bet we would get a few from a couple of states to the east. Would be cool to compare what we all have Macgyered to...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Definatly keep the Bronco!, I have a 91 F250 that i will never part with, 400,000 plus miles and all original. Have it in a container until i have space/time/money to restore it back to new. While i love my newer Ram, it will never have the quality of the old ford. As far as backup lights...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Thank you, That seems like a novel and simple idea!. it makes total sense that only one side needs disconnecting to achieve the extra flex, and as a bonus and with only half the work, and one less link to store. Will give it a try.
