We are coming down from NW Washington, but have the week off so thought we would head down early and spend a day or two exploring. if we don't see you in time to camp together, we will definaltly drop a pin of where we stake our flag. Look forward to meeting you.
We thought about the experience package, but figured our time would be mostly spent in the vendor area, and meeting up with people so wanted to keep our schedule open, maybe next year we will give that a try. Look forward to meeting you.
Are you going to to be camping at the PNW Expo and interested in camping with other Overland Bound Members? We are hosting a meetup in the morning for those interested in a group camp. The only way to camp with other members is to enter at the same time as the event will not allow saving of...
pretty much can guantee you won't ever want to cancel, its just as addicting as TV, but better as there are no commericals, and it gets you off the couch and outside exploring .. lol :)
@makboz, looks like you have done a great job of describing and providing photos of your situation, really wish we were closer and could help out! Best of luck with the extraction and that all stay safe and out of harms way.
I had a fire chief tell me many years ago when I got promoted to Lieutenant, “Just remember never to make the emergency in the cab bigger than the one you are going to” That word of wisdom still comes to mind if I start to get wound up or let the adrenaline get the better of me in an emergency...
I have spent many years as a volunteer in SAR and the fire service and been involved in aiding lost and injured folks. My best recommendation is to above all be prepared, its not often you find well prepared people in need of help in the first place, but accidents and emergencies do happen to...
Never thought about using stickers to identify my missing ride, not a bad idea, although most of our rigs tend to be fairly unique. So far I have not seen another 2000 WJ raptor lined to match the factory Sienna Pearl color..lol The JK though, take of the RTT and awning and it starts looking...
We had discussed running it in the normal direction around the same time line, not sure until a bit later if we will have an opening in our schedule, or exactly what dates, but could be interesting if we met in the middle somewhere. Will touch base with you once we can confirm our plans...
Not sure why this one came back up, I asked this question back on May 19th and @M Rose steered me in the right direction back then, totally user nitwitness on my behalf at the time..lol I am still all good on that issue, but sure I have more issues stashed away for later:) but thanks again...
Like the idea of a blackstone or skottle (really like the I Kamper version of the skottle that @Bagallthethings has, even more expensive then Tembos version, but has so many more options for use such as hanging over a fire on its tripod, and using the burner separatly its work the extra coin I...
This is the same thing without the gauge from Mr. Heater, we use it with both the buddy heater and our propane stoves, they say the mr heater one does not leach oils that the generic ones do that can clog a mr buddy heater. have used it for three years and had no isuse with either the heater...
We are also looking for a new stove. seems like most manufactures are concentrating on how many btu's thier burners can produce. Michelle loves to use her Omnia oven and has problems with our current stoves not having enough control to reduce the flame to a simmer. Reading the online reviews...
NWOR has come and gone, had a great time, weather was pretty good with only a couple of showers, but plenty of wind and a bit cooler than typical. I think we got to at least meet most of the OB members who attended, believe there were around 12 or 13 folks who attended. About half the...
Yes, the manufacture claims 250, but I would confidently say they are good to 300 with no issues, it does not seem likely for a cheap(ish) chair off amazon, but these things are way sturdier than they look. Only issues we have had are similar to most chairs of this type, the feet are not...
We have found these to be very comfortable and affordable, they were a bit cheaper BC (Before Covid) but still not bad, have had a pair for several years and one is still good as new, the other replaced after wind blew it into a fire last Thanksgiving (They are totally oposite of fire...
Hi Igor & Katrina and welcome to Overland Bound, lots of great folks and a wealth of information within this group, you have chosen a great vehicle to explore with.
Hi Ben, & Welcome to Overland Bound. Allways great to see someone building an older rig, looking forward to seeing some pictures of your progress. As previously mentioned by others, keep an eye on the Calendar and Rally Point tabs for upcoming events, should be a bit more things being posted...
