    Gravel Bikes

I would love to look at other bikes, but my LBS is a Trek dealer, and I have been friends with the owner since we were in diapers so I’m kind of partial to Trek. Looking at the specs of the Checkpoint 4 (I can’t afford the 5) I would have to sit on it to see how the frame fits me. The geometry...

200 amps to the rear of a power wagon?

We aren’t talking about a normal car… we are talking an Overland Specific Truck. If I have my fridge running at max cool, A/C cranked, all 14 KC lightS going, and transmitting a full 100 watts of power, im drawing way more than 200 amps. I know, because I can stall out my 200 amp alternator...

    Gravel Bikes

Well guys, the Verve Gravel Bike stalled. I can’t keep the 3x chain ring and the hydro disks going to a drop bar. So after much debate, and lots of talking with the wife… I’m looking at N+1. I have my bike choices narrowed down to 2. First up is the Trek 1120. I don’t know much about it...

    1st Gen Sequoia Question

Richmond Auto Upholstery makes some really nice factory replacement leather seat covers… they are expensive at first look, but they are made to OEM standards and fit just like the factory seat covers. They are not slip on seat covers though and require stripping off the old seat covers and...

200 amps to the rear of a power wagon?

The BCDC charger doesn’t care how many amps are being pulled from the batteries… The BCDC sees a draw while the engine is running and starts the charge process. Also, I might have missed it, but what kind of batteries are you planning on running for both start and auxiliary batteries? If they...

Let's see some HAM setups in your rigs

The antenna I posted would work for your application. Just be advised, mobile antennas are already compromised, and you are compromising it further by mounting to the spare tire.

Let's see some HAM setups in your rigs

You are going to need a 1/2 wave or 5/8 wave antenna to use the spare tire mount for a mounting location. The spare tire rack doesn’t offer a good ground plane. Diamond Original NR770HB 144/440 MHz Dual-Band Mobile Antenna, Black, Gain: 3.0/5.5 dBi, Connector: PL-259, Fold Over, Length: 38.5"

200 amps to the rear of a power wagon?

According to his specs from the first post and the chart you posted, I still come up with 2/0 wire needed. Also this chart assumes both the positive and negative sides are being run, dropping to only the positive cable, you need to increase by 2 wire gauges in diameter to make up for the losses...
