That's a good idea. I was going to outfit a couple of my ammo cans with tools. But I'm going to check out the waterproof tool boxes.

40 degrees here in Iowa today. All the snow is gone. Very unusual for this time of year. We will probably get more snow before winter is over. But still, unseasonably warm for this time of year.

Just a thought, since regions are going to be created soon, what about regional OB stickers? Not sure how complicated or easy it is to design and create stickers, but, it could potentially generate revenue to support the forum. The thought being, people may want to support/display their region...

I have to plan a trip down there this summer. Only about an 8 hour drive from where I live.

Ugh, wish I still lived in Arizona. That's a heck of a lot closer than Iowa. Would love to explore this area. Enjoy the trip.

Yah, no kidding. This 40 degree weather we're having where I'm at in Iowa is making me want to hit the trails. Sucks there's no real trails around me.

Subscribed. I'm looking at adding solar power if I ever get a trailer. I'd probably put in 4 batteries and use solar to trickle charge them.

Welcome to the forum, and nice looking Jeep. Looking forward to your build thread. If I ever finish my Wrangler, I'm going to start modding the GC. We have an 07' with the 5.7L V8. Would like to do something with it one of these days.

I never name my rigs. But, if I did, I'd thought about "slowback". It's a fastback, but it's slow with the minivan 3.8L. On the plus side, it's a proven engine and relatively inexpensive to repair.

There are many of us who aren't hard core wheelers. I'll gladly take a detour around an obstacle if I can. I just build my rig to make it as capable as possible to tackle almost any situation. You have two very capable rigs, right off the production line. Nice.

Have a great trip. Someday I'll get to Moab hopefully. I don't have an RTT, but if I did, and had a trailer like the M416, I'd definitely put it on the trailer. My reasoning would be, set up base camp and explore from there. If you're going to take the trailer anyway, might as well try it on there.

If I was alone, I might ask what their destination is, and if I can drop them off in the nearest town at a gas station or something. But I personally couldn't pick someone up and have them ride with me for a very long time.
