Hello, and welcome to Overland Bound and thank you for your service!. Great choice of rig to explore with, I will go check you your build thread for photos. Michelle & I are up in the North Sound and across the pond from you, not far as the crow flies... lol Check the Rally Point and...
Jim, The trip did happen, @Hogman and @A.Desert.Creature made the trip and had a great time (I was unable to make it this time) Scott did post some pics on Facebook
I agree with Eric, with the loop you have selected it will be a lot of driving and not much time to explore. Our parks are super busy in the summer, and many are going to reservation systems or using trams in place of vehicles in busy areas. If I had to choose between Grand Canyon and...
Try running the fridge from a different power source (Car 12v plug or AC adapter) for a period and see if stays cold. That may help eliminate on or the other as the issue. The power station should be regulated and provide constant voltage right up to where it runs out of juice, unlike a car...
Steve, Welcome to Overland Bound from Washington State. Overland Bounds founding principles are centered around being nice, sharing information, and it does not matter what you drive. Those carry over to the forums, events, and trips almost without exception. We travel and have friends here...
Have our Jeep set up in the DIY section of the Expo, if you are down here, please stop by and say hi, we would love to see you. Going to be a hot one today.
A big thank you to all those that came over to celebrate the 4th of July with us yesterday. It was great to see a bunch of good friends and also to meet some new ones. Was good to see Jerry @LunarOne as it had been way to long. He also brought some out of town family that were visiting along...
The HD version of the Deutsch connector is rated for 25 amps and will accept up to 12 ga wire. 25 amps is equal to 300 watts, more than I have ever seen my ARB pull at start up. however if i recall correctly the ARB power cord comes with 10 gauge wire which will not fit in the connector...
Have plenty of experience with the Rescue 8, used it a bunch in both SAR and the fire department, although on high angle stuff we typically used a brake bar. I would think the winch rope would likely slip as it has the teflon coating and the 8's are super smooth. would be good to test though...
The automatic invites via email are relatively new, and go out to a predetermined number of members based on radius around the event being posted, so those notifications can be hit or miss depending on where the event is located and how dense the number of members is in the given area. To your...
Assuming you have the ecoboost? I have seen a kit from stage3 motorsports that provides a race intercooler with relocation kit that places the intercooler up in front of the radiator and will allow a hidden winch plate for the V8 version to fit in the bumper, but super expensive. or maybe...
I adventure with Scott and a couple of others frequently and my Wife is always along and often the only woman, but its always laid back and comfortable. We wish we did not have a different event scheduled for Saturday or we would be all over this one, its a route we travel often and one of my...
You would be more than welcome, and yes you get a great view of fireworks, you can see the commercial show across the water at Oak Harbor, but the best are the fancy houses on the water a few blocks away that love to outdo each other. I will forward our address to you via DM
I can tell you that I accidently got a knot in my winch line after tossing it through some thick brush to an anchor point and did not see it until we had done a full pull on it, tried everything to get it back out to no avail, and I am sure the fibers were damaged. For shortening my winch...
Ryan, Welcome to Overland Bound from Washington State! First off, thank you for you service:) Getting away is essential, and awesome that you are taking your kids and giving them that experience. Many years and all grown up, mine still thank me for taking them on adventures. Nice looking...
About time! Have been able to fuel the diesel vehicles and my Harley for some time, but will be nice to do the Jeep too, forget half the time and get yelled at...lol
Teajay, sorry you did not know about the OB group camping, there was a Rally Point created back in mid Feb, and it was on the calendar and fairly active in the forums. The Rally Point tab will list all upcomming events that members have posted and is filterable by Overland Bound Region.
Another great NWOR rally this year, Michelle and I had an awesome time, other than attending a couple of classes we really did not do much other than hang out, visited with lots of great peeps and generally relaxed. Quite a bit more wind than last year, but no rain which was a bonus. Marianne...
