Thanks Scott, I did end up with a Mean Green. I "think" I ended up with a 140 amp alternator. There was a bit of a mix up at first. I went on to their website and pulled up the alternator for my make/model and ordered it, Somehow a starter got pulled off the shelves and was ready to ship. I...
I think that’s the one I’m going with. I’ve heard complaints with DC power. Every time someone mentions Mean Green it’s always good reviews! Thanks for your post[emoji1360]
I have an ‘03 Tacoma and I’m at a place in my build where I’m starting to add all the electronics in my rig. Lights, compressor, dual battery’s etc etc. I’m looking into a HO alternator and wondering what system people are running? I looked into a few companies and read up on Tacomaworld and I’m...
I bought some All Pro expedition rear springs, a Bussman waterproof fuse block, a Blue Sea ML/ACR dual battery set up, a 20” Rigid Light bar, a c.b. Radio and an arb air compressor. Not sure on the last thing I’m going to buy because I’m always improving on my rig.
Hey y’all, I’m a merchant Mariner and at sea for at least a month at a time(currently headed down to Brazil) I’m scheduled to be back last week of Feb/first week in March. When I’m off ship I’m wide open. I’d love to do a day or weekend trip. If y’all are planning a get together please shoot me...
I’d love to make a trip somewhere last week in Feb, first week in March! I’m living in Fairview. Currently on ship headed to Brazil and won’t be back till then. I’d also love to check out some trails up by Boone. Anyone know of any ?
I would definitely be down to help out. I was driving this summer through the campgrounds in Hendersonville (Passed Horshoe campgrounds) the ones that drive in through Pisgah, checking out the BLM camping spots and about half of the campsites were trashed!
There are some really good areas around AVL. Mostly in the Eastern Tenn side. I have yet to drive it but the Trans America Trail can be picked up in Asheville I believe
Thank you for this. You’re absolutely right! A good quality shovel doesn’t need be expensive. I do like those axes from Sweden. (I can’t remember the name of them.) their on the pricey side but very high quality. Not sure they’ll outlast one from Lowe’s. Probably not. Thank you again for the tips!
Yep, I’ve been to Montezuma Co and I frequent the eastern Tenn/Western NC areas. As far as my suspension goes I only need to order rear springs to deal with the added weight of my camper shell and sleeping set up and rack with batwing awning and Road shower. I’m saving up for a rear swing out...
Hey guys, fairly new to the overlanding community. I’m at a place where I’m looking to purchase shovels, axes, first aid kits etc etc to store on my basket. Looking very high quality. Thank you for any suggestions beforehand
I just ordered some oem paint because I plan on painting my fender flares and figured that I'll throw some primer/paint/gloss coat on my sliders that are sitting at home bare metal in a box from 4X Innovations. They go on in about 10 days!
Thanks Road! I’m actually looking for my overlanding time to out due my sailing time! Gotta love those Mainiacs! I’m originally from New England myself and have sailed with a bunch on Maine guys. I’d definitely like to get up there in my travels. Someday Lord willing!
Thanks! I just paid off all my debt. It’s going to be hard to not just use my cc’s to just get it all done at once. Temptations temptations :coldsweat:
