I'm getting the same error shown in the first post. I've tried posting from YouTube and get this. "Sucuri Website Firewall - Cloud Proxy - Access Denied" Win 10 Chrome

Do You Practice TREAD Lightly! Principles?

I was going to mention removing obstacles as well:) Here's a fallen tree after last winter's storms up in Mendo. The trail was not only getting wider, it was getting dangerous. Someone asked "Why not just drive around it like everyone else?" and I explained what happens in situations like this...

Do You Practice TREAD Lightly! Principles?

There was a recent off trail incident at Hollister Hills and they shut down Hudner Ranch until the damage is repaired.

Do You Practice TREAD Lightly! Principles?

I was volunteering with painting fences and general cleanup at Cow Mountain last year. The BLM person working with us said they found a couch in a tree once. She also said the wooden shade structures are always getting chained up and pulled down. SMH After the Land Rover National Rally last...

    Hollister hills August 12,13,14

Ok. I'll know for sure ahead of time. Maybe we can just pick a time and place that's easy to get to, like the bathrooms by the original obstacle course at 10:00am, or something like that. I have a CB as well so that will make finding each other and the rest of the day easier.

Do You Practice TREAD Lightly! Principles?

I also want to add that I'm not the preachy type when it comes to this. If someone is genuinely interested in TREAD Lightly! I'm more than happy to talk about it, but it doesn't get thrown in anyone's face. A lot of people are receptive to a "follow by example" approach, and that's what I like...

    Hollister hills August 12,13,14

Ok cool. I am too, it's just been awhile since I've been there. Years ago, I was there once a month, but then got the "been there, done that" syndrome and went less frequently. I have a friend who is looking to do a shake down run after getting his truck back (rebuilt motor, new & bigger tires)...

Thoughts and reasons for your chosen rig

My truck found me really. I wasn't looking to buy a Land Rover, but my sister's boyfriend at the time was looking to sell his D2. It just kinda fell into my life. And then I fell down the rabbit hole. Hard. Very hard. I haven't looked back since then. That was almost 9 years ago. And while there...

Hmmm, I might come down for a day. Haven't been to HH in a while. In fact, my sister wants to go with me sometime. She had the truck before I owned it (it was totally stock) and she's really interested to see what it's like off road with all the bells and whistles on it now. She never took off...

Do You Practice TREAD Lightly! Principles?

As a TREAD Lightly! Tread Trainer, one of my goals is to help spread the word of what this program is all about. There are a lot of people out there who roll their eyes whenever those words are mentioned and it makes me sad to see that. The goal isn't to ruin anyone's fun. In fact, it's the...

    Camp Shower (Merged)

I've thought about making my own shower out of PVC, but quickly abandoned it. First, I found baby wipes to work well enough, even for a 7-10 day trip. Second, I just don't care enough to do so. I just need to brush my teeth to feel awake on the trail. Finding PVC pipe that's large enough in...

What Trail Condition Do You Fear The Most?

Yup, that'll do it :) My starter was the latest victim of a mud bath.

    OB emblem issue ?

Hmmm. I thought the emblems were clear coated already. You could try diluting some CLR and use a Q-Tip in a specific area and see if the corrosion (or whatever it is) is removed, or comes back. How long has it been there? Has it gown over time, or appear after you wash it the first time?

    Location Banner

We have the Member Map, (it is in Beta), but is there a way to link that directly to the forum accounts? I added myself to the map a few days ago, and just went there to get the link. My location is listed, and there's an icon for a pic, but it's blank. Having them connected could load my...

    Best Trail Repairs

That's a great story @Steve! I have a hard enough time in my 15 year old Landie. Can't imagine a 50 year old one. Well actually I can. I'd love to have an old Series II or Series III Land Rover and tool around the country side.

    Camp Priorities

I do too. In fact, whenever possible, I pack as much the night before. The camp kitchen all fits into a Pelican 1650 case and stores on the front of the roof rack. I'll toss it up there before going bed, strap it down in the morning and just have oatmeal for breakfast. I keep the Jet Boil in...
