    AGM battery life?

If you never take your AGM down below 50% they will last a VERY long time. My AGM sump pump backup battery is ten years old and still perfect performance. The AGM in my 2007 motorcycle is the original battery. Still going strong! And the two group 31 in my travel trailer are going on 6 years and...

DIY bracket for 5# propane tank

Didn't have room in the overland trailer for a 20# tank, and don't need that much propane on three day trips. Bought a "miniMe" 5# tank from Manchester Tanks. Needed a bracket to mount on the outside of the trailer. Dug out the TIG welder this morning and had my way with some...

Got the TIG welder out this morning and welded up an aluminum bracket for my "MiniMe" 5# propane tank. Hadn't touched the TIG welder in years. But like riding a bike, it all came back to me.

    Hi-Lift Jack Rebuild...

You see, when you are retired, and it's cold, windy and raining outside in February. And you have nothing to do. You make work......,like taking your 30 year old Hi-Lift jack totally apart , paint it, and re-assemble it! I think I've used the thing exactly once in 30 years and that was for...

    propane tanks

Did you need to get those 30 year old tanks recertified? I thought they had to be replaced or recertified at 10 years? Fiberglass tanks are great. The Marine industry is a big user of them. I just wish they made one in 8" diameter.

    Hello from S.E. Massachusetts

I spend the winter down in New Mexico and Arizona......The land of Overlanding! Although this year I chose not to go and stayed up here. Big Mistake!!! Don't do much overlanding up here as there are very few places that allow it. I do plan on spending time in NJ this summer as they have a...
