You could still be getting combustion chamber gases in the coolant. Smell anything? Any access to a block checker?

Did you do both intake and exhaust? . 4.7s like to kick out the rocker arms but it wouldn't be running smooth. Without doing a compression check and leak down test I can only speculate . Could be a valve issue or possibly a ring issue

The code cleared on its own? Is that a 5.7? Is the misfire code completely cleared or it a softcode or pending code? What's the mileage? What type of plugs did you put back in? Any upper valve train noise like lifters?

It's a tough call. I honestly like both the RTT and oztent. I've even kicked the idea of the ursa minor . Of course it's pretty expensive and would mean the roof rack goes away. Mud, specifically lake bed mud is definitely a plus to having a rtt

I've noticed what seems to be a upsurge of the don't buy build snobbery. Such as,You bought that bumper for how much? I can make just as good of one for 20 bucks worth of steel. So tired of haters on both sides of dollar. That's why I dig this site so much, no pissing matches
