Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I also have a stock 17 TRD OR. Just took it wheeling with some friends and it did great. Only gear I had was some locally made traction boards (Action Trax out of Wichita, KS if anyone is curious), a receiver hitch shackle, tire deflator, a jack, and a recovery strap. Only used the tire...
I don’t want this to come out wrong, but it’s nice to know I’m not the only one facing this problem.
I’ve had my 05 TJ Rubicon since 2009. It was my daily driver and fun rig up until I bought my 17 Tacoma TRD Off Road about a year ago. I’ve been battling myself on whether or not to sell the...
Looking forward to seeing the build. We basically have the same story. I also have a 17 TRDOR but started in jeeps as well. First Jeep was a 99 XJ then I went to a 05 TJ Rubicon, which I still have but battle myself daily on whether or not to keep it. I’m building mine as I go, just ordered...
I 100% agree with you. Also, FYI theres a group called Konza Overland that I just got involved with through a friend and we are doing the Kickapoo Trail March 24th and 25th. Trail is mainly dirt roads but we're going to camp and cruise around. Check them out on FB if you're interested.
Very nice truck. I have a 2017 TRD Off Road double cab short bed. Stock right now but looking at getting some 265/75R16 Falken Wildpeak AT/3Ws in the near future. Planning to do a mild build along the way, i.e. sliders and skids, suspension when it comes time but nothing crazy, 1-2" max...
I’m kind of in the same boat as you wiznodie. I’ve had my ‘05 TJ Rubicon for 9 years now. I’ve done small upgrades due to it being my DD up until last year when I bought a ‘17 Tacoma TRD OR. I mostly cruise back roads here in KS and occasionally get to an ORV park. Would like to get in to some...
I agree that a roll up bag would be the way to go for tools specifically. I was also thinking using it as storage for other gear as well.
I do appreciate your input though. I do need to get a roll up tool bag to start carrying.
I may be crazy, but I was in Lowe’s around Christmas sale time and an idea came to me when I passed the tool box section and thought one of the smaller garage type tool boxes would maybe work well as a seudo drawer system. They usually have a lid on top for easy access, a couple different size...
Tuttle is a lot of fun. Was just up there a couple months ago. A lot of trails and most are mild enough for stock vehicles but they also have some more aggressive spot for the built up rigs.
