also, I looked through most of the route... is it possible to camp near some of the washes or crossings, of course staying away from the water plane, along the route? Again, totally unfamiliar with this part of the country.

Yes, we have a RTT also. Did they say if they had RV spots available. We have actually had to do that on a trip before.

I would be in if you don't mind a newcomer to the group and I don't know a lot about the offloading in that area. I have a fully Overland equipped F250, front and rear winches, jacks, compressor and generator. Could ride as 1 rig but might be interested in the wife driving her TJ down...
