Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I found this today. It was about $17.00. I added a piece of aluminum for the bottom and 4 u-bolts. It's a ammo box designed to slide under the bed. And it dose have a gasket to keep it water tight. We will see.
I carry 2 first aid kits. The first is a basic trauma kit! As a EMT I have protocols I must follow, and they are only legal when I'm in my jurisdiction. If I do ANYTHING more than basic care away from my medical directors oversite I am practicing medicine without a license. So sorry no chest...
Modified my kargo master safari roof rack. Think this is a little safer than 6- 1/4" self tapping screws and 2- 5/16" bolts holding the rear on the jeep.
I just bought and installed my craigslist Kargo Master roof rack. I'm not sure what to put up there now. My custom back bumper holds my HiLift, and spair tire. I guess I could put a shovel and axe...LED lights too. What are the rest of you overlanders putting up there? And how are you...
Mine came powder coated, but it peeled...like everything I get that is powder coated. Paint is easy to touch up. I started to lineX my parts. My fuel skid and rock sliders are LineXed and were drug across the Rubicon with almost no damage. Costly, but it's one and done!
I got a couple of projects done, and pulled the trigger on the next project. I sealed the rear cargo box, reinstalled the rear swaybar. Painted and adjusted the air cleaner, then decided to buy a roof rack. Kinda nervous about that, it's a Kargo Master full basket, found it on craigslist for...
Thanks for the pictures. Looks like the bar is about 4 inches taller than the jeep. Add the basket and it's going to be almost 8 inches taller... more than I expected. Things to ponder.
I have an 05 Jeep TJ with an ARB snorkel. I am buying a Kargo Master safari roof rack tomorrow. Not sure if it will fit with the snorkel. Any members have the same setup? Or know of any pictures of the setup. Yes I did a search on the site and internet. Thanks in advance.
Ive seen the loops off of a chain link fence put around the roll cage and a wing nut with bolt to connect the jack to the loop. Or just use U-bolts. Though I prefer to keep the jack on the back bumper. Happy fabbing
