Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
This exactly.
Don't rely on what others tell you. E-mail the manufacture. As you can see there's a difference of opinion. If you store them incorrectly and there's an issue, the company doesn't have to warranty the unit.
Information can change as things evolve. What someone tells you may no...
I run Odyssey. I've tried about every battery manufacture out there. These give me no issues and last longer. I'm forced to use interstate at work. Horrible batteries. We use them in everything from car's to medium duty.
I'm also not easy on my batteries. That's probably why the lesser ones...
UPDATE
Been using this for about a year. The only drawback has been water flow. I finally found a good pump (took 3). This one also upgraded the battery pack to twice the size. I still velcro it to the side but it's a bit heavy. It "stays" in place but I need to make a holder of some kind (OCD...
New update.
I finally finished the portable battery part. I'm just going to post pictures and not a whole part break down. If anyone wants to build one, message me and I'll get you a part list. You could also use the info to build your own battery bank for camping.
As it turns out, most of the...
I use Dexter axles. You order it in whatever length, leaf spring perch's where you want them and backing plate with park brake.. All you need to do then is see if your current brake cable has the correct ends, if not, their easy to change.
I've made a few. In the DIY section somewhere is my build on them. I haven't updated it but I now do smaller holes and a few less.
I would say an air mixer is a must. Propane will give off soot if not kept hot enough. Mine is mounted inside the can.
My first fire pit is made from the bottom...
Most of my group has the Vevor.
easy to use and pretty quiet. Fuel usage is minimal. I think I use just over a quart if I run it all night on low. "If" your luck enough to get a working thermostat, it does you no good if the controller is mounted to the unit (all in 1).
Across the board, the...
If you want to change spring length go longer. You can order custom axle widths and have the perch's put where you want them. Most trailer shops will do this.
All of my axles are custom width.
Swap to a #3500 axle with brakes and shocks. This standardizes all the hardware for down the road as well as adds some toe in and positive camber. These will make your trailer more stable on the highway. I wish I had video showing all the bouncing trailers I've seen on dirt roads as well as...
I've always loved these trailers.
Here's a pic of mine. I've had it for over 30 years. it started out as just a gear hauler when I did Adopt a Trail work. Before the RTT, it went up the Rubicon, Dusy as well as several other hard trails. About 15 years ago I added an RTT and made it just a...
If you look into the technology, you see how far it's come. The latest AI can tell the difference between a box truck and a trash truck. They can park in a parking lot. Intuition wise, it's getting there. My sister is on her 3rd Tesla. I've watched the AI evolve over the years. The issues I see...
This, exactly.
Several presidents ago, he cut money and personnel to forest service, blm and as well as a few other state and federal agencies. In the areas that concern us, we have about 30% of the manpower and 100% of the work. The problem is, they cut back money and people but are still...
Here lies the problem.
1. Yes. The land is damaged forever when idiots drive off the roads.
2. No. The land is not damaged forever and the tracks erase.
Both are correct and wrong.
As some of you know, I spent a couple of decades attempting to fight to keep our lands open. I wasn't able to...
What you'll find is most people who actually use their vehicle for this hobby keep the rim size close to stock width, with the exception being, the guys who do more hard core driving. Tire size is normally stock or a few size's taller. If you want even taller tires, odd's are your lifting the...
I think your camp gear should match your style of camping. If you plan on staying in one spot for a couple of day's then something that takes time to set up and tear down is fine. I sometimes stay in one spot but most of the time, I'm in a diffrent spot each night.
I have a few friends with OZ...
Grey water heaters. Thermally controlled so you dont have to turn them off. Dont remember the on/off temp but I know its above freezing.
I have two I use on my propane tanks that I use for my fire pits. They come with a peel and stick side. Mine are stuck to duck cloth and held on with a nylon...
I'm running the AT3's on my Tacoma and love them. I need to loose the BFG's on my Cruiser. Americas tire says "coming soon" on the AT4's. Hopefully soon.
Right now their showing $330 for LT315 /75 R16 127R E2 BSW. That's less money then my KO2's that I'm no longer impressed with.
Here's mine. 3500# Dexter axle and brakes. 3 axis hitch, shocks and about a 2" lift. Right now its stripped down and waiting on an overhaul. Two years ago I built an enclosed trailer and parked it. Before the RTT was put on, this trailer has been over several black diamond trails.
I agree with everyone here.
No one can answer your question without more info.
What lights, what the wire size and length and how much power. Also what switch.
Also, agreeing with everyone, you should have these on relays.
The pigtail you showed looks like a deutsch connector. I'm assuming...
