True enough, having the option to switch is nice. Noise won't be an issue for me. I can't hear the thing over my exhaust at all haha.

Rath's Trailer Build - First Test Pull Done!

yep. that was one of the resources I used. Looked into as much as I could as I didnt want to have to re-do things when I went to register it. and in all honesty, I could simply just throw a weld around the pintle ring, into the tongue itself, and that would be two seperate points of attachment...

Rath's Trailer Build - First Test Pull Done!

good looking out! I did indeed check into this before going this route, different provinces have different regulations, everything I could find for my location doesnt mention anything against this. Also the pictures shown when registering (they didnt even need any, but I offered) included a...

Rath's Trailer Build - First Test Pull Done!

cut and tossed in some insulation in the lid and the sides today. I will be covering the sides with thin sanded plywood, for looks and to prevent the insulation from getting wrecked. This should help at least a little bit to keep some of the heat out and let the cooler stay cool.

Rath's Trailer Build - First Test Pull Done!

few more odds and ends coming together, first trip in 2 weeks! Tongue jack is now on also got the gas shocks mounted to the lid/trailer. They are luckily the perfect strength and moutning position! only a little bit of math was involved in choosing where they mounted, and it worked out...

How has the Covid-19 virus affected your adventures?

backroads Mapbook shows crown land areas. Look for "fire road" or just gravel roads that lead to "dead ends" and explore! I do have a few secret spots, but those are staying secret.

Rath's Trailer Build - First Test Pull Done!

buttoning up a bunch of small things the last few days. trimmed the fenders up, and bent them outwards a tiny bit. trimmed 7" off the front and 5" off the back. and made mounts. I made them to bolt into existing holes that hold the wood on, as to not leave any extra holes if I choose to change...

Rath's Trailer Build - First Test Pull Done!

side markers on, lights are all wired together now, and the plug is installed in the truck.... not very pretty but it's functional (hopefully) also have the fenders and some 1" square tube to mount them up. I have everything I need, just need time to finish the small things. I wanted...

Where do you store your food, Is it safe to store it in the car?

aren't really any bad human interactions here, none on record anyway. Last summer I had one curious about my truck and was shaking it a bit, but the second it realized I was inside (just woken up and saw a bear peeking in the window) it took off faster than I could say "hey". I realized my...

Where do you store your food, Is it safe to store it in the car?

Very true, lots of bad campers out there. Luckily I only have black bears to deal with so it's not too bad

Where do you store your food, Is it safe to store it in the car?

Currently I keep my food in the cab if the truck. And I sleep in the back. I've had issues with bears.... But they always go for my tent, which has non food related items in it. Clothing, folding chair, clean pots and pans, hatchet, etc. Now that I have my trailer. Such things will go in there...

    overland bound discord server?

I love discord, but it's a totally different thing than what is going on here with the forums. Things are way more organized in a forum setting, for large communities like this one. where a category has forums, and those forums have their own specific topics you can create/post in. wheras on...
