Help me repair my ARB Compressor

Thanks, I forgot to mention that I cleaned out the filters when the compressor first started acting up. Sorry.

Help me repair my ARB Compressor

On my Continental Divide trip, my ARB compressor gave up the ghost. Well, I hope not completely. Before I get under the van and remove it and start randomly unscrewing parts, I thought I'd ask the brain trust here if anyone has any experience repairing these? It's an ARB single CKMA12. The...

HAM vs. GMRS - The Great Debate

I have both HAM and GMRS in my rigs, only because I travel with groups that use one or the other. I have a SpotX for emergency communication. I could have used a CB to monitor logging activity in Montana and Wyoming on my recent Continental Divide Trip.

    Something different. Let’s talk music.

Colter Wall is a new fave. James McMurtry is great traveling music, especially in the West and Southwest. Jimmy Buffett is, well, Buffett. I've loved his music since we used to sneak into his shows when I was a kid (70s in Aspen). Amazing Rhythm Aces.

The Quest for the Best Knife.

I think every one of my packs and vehicles has a Mora in it. Companions or Clippers. I usually have a Griptilian or Mini Griptilian in my pocket. If not, I have a Buck 110 or Helle on my belt.

    Continental Divide and Colorado BDR

Final Thoughts, in no particular order The CDR and COBDR portion of the vacation was 25 days and about 4,250 miles from home in Albuquerque. That includes the trip down from Albuquerque down to the border, the detour to Glenwood Springs for tires, and the detour to Missoula for Walleye. From...

    Continental Divide and Colorado BDR

Day 25 – Columbia Falls, MT to Eureka, MT – 135 miles Although my vacation will continue for another couple weeks, today is the last day of my CDR adventure. The Canada border is only about 135 miles away. I head to Whitefish and then up along the east edge of Whitefish Lake, by lots of...

    Continental Divide and Colorado BDR

Day 24 – Granite Butte, MT to Columbia Falls, MT – 235 miles This morning I woke up and started making coffee, the usual morning routine. The weather was really nice, so I had the sliding door open on the van. I thought I hears something in the brush but wasn’t sure. Spidey senses were...
