Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I picked up the Fourtreks brackets which aren't great as they leave the awning leaning at an angle, somebody else on the forums here, i don't remember who, pointed out these brackets and i think said they've had good luck with them. I've been meaning to pick up a pair, but it's been low on the...
@WU7X If you are premium user, consider installing the MVUM overlay as well. I find that the combo of USFS Topo and MVUM (where it draws a green line on all the forest service roads) is magical. I usually have USGS topo underneath those two to cover non USFS managed lands as well. Like you did...
Somebody had started a monthly meetup at some mall in the Phoenix area a while back but abandoned it after a couple of months. I'll be starting one up down here in southern Arizona (not at a mall) when we return from the Overland Bound Rally in October - once the temps come back down. I'll post...
Welcome, I'm down in Tucson! I just subbed to your channel!
We have a pretty strong membership here in AZ, come say hi in the Arizona Overlanders thread as well!
Yep, but often those status bars on the "Download Status" are empty or completely full (but not actually downloaded/available yet), or appear to be hung, or there will be nothing shown where it shows the download data rate. On Android the same thing happens, but in a slightly different way...

As a guy who very heavily uses Gaia on both Android and iOS platforms (in addition the the web version), it's essentially the same experience across both mobile platforms. There are some major flaws present in all three platforms (to include web). I think anybody kvetching about it not working...
Will do! I'm not sure how late you work, but it's also an easy enough to access camp spot that driving there in the dark should be no challenge. Remind me again when the date gets closer just to make sure I don't forget to send you coordinates. Do you have a 2m ham radio?
Here's the X-Bull mega-thread where we have all discussed our experiences of them. The thread includes some photos and measurements as well for those wondering how thick they stack
X-Bull Recovery Tracks...another inexpensive alternative
The TLDR of that thread is that they are absolutely...
You edited it but when i first saw your message you had a message about a converter, just wanted to give you a heads up that if your trailer has brakes they won't work in case you didn't already know that (i assume you do, but for safety i'm calling it out just in case)
That truck is slick...
hah, i've been curious about this, too. Our longest trips together with the whole family so far have been about a week, so it's been not too bad holding off, but we definitely have some much longer trips coming up and are working our way towards a multi-month trip in a year or two. Up to now, we...
