Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Is there a OBD2 dongle that’s Apple approved? I used torque back in the day when I had an Android, when I switched there wasn’t a single approved for iOS.
Won’t a cheap laptop off craigslist or the local classifieds fit the bill for HAM programming and diagnostics? I picked up a laptop to run the Volkswagen Audi Group diagnostics for $50. I can’t imagine trying to mount a laptop in my vehicle for nav purposes. People do it, but I wouldn’t work...
Same here, 4-500 for a hidden winch mount when a lucky 8 bumper is $800? If I ever get done paying for college and weddings I’ll replace the bumper, but until then this works great.
I don’t know why it works for me and not you, I’ve done nothing special. I’m guessing my version of Gaia is old enough I don’t have an issue, it’s been on there for quite some time. It may very well be I couldn’t install it today.
You’re acting like ending support for old hardware is exclusive...
Beats me, I have had soooo much less trouble with apple products. I used to build my own home theater PCs and it was a constant battle to keep it working and virus free. Not to mention the hoops you had to jump through to network it to anything else. My iMac I bought used and it never fails. I...
Yeah, the cost of Apple products is always brought up by non-Apple users, including me once upon a time. The thing is, they just plain work. I used to be an windows/android user and got sick of the constant fiddling to keep it to working right. Our home computer is a 10 year old iMac, running...
Thanks, I'd be interested to hear your price. I'd never consider one new, they're stupid expensive and it's cheaper (and a better option for me) to buy a voyager racks carrier.
I'm kinda digging up an old thread here, but... What is the spare tire carrier you've got in the pics? I need to get my spare off my roof, but don't want to spend the coin on a $900 carrier or $2200 bumper for my LR3. Stupid wedding I have to pay for. :rage::confused::blush:
Yeah, there’s a write up on one of the Rover specific forums on an LR4, but it’s pretty much the same. I cut out the center section of the factory inner bumper and attached the harbor freight tray in it’s place. I had to mod the outer cover a little, but it’s all inside or very low and not...
As the weather is getting warmer here I am starting to contemplate my trailer project. I'm planning on a 4x6 by 24" tall box with a tailgate and 1 (maybe 2) large side doors up front, fixed top with some type of rack system for a RTT. I'd love to have it be adjustable height so I can use an...
Welcome, nice vehicle choice! I’ve got an ‘06. As mentioned, if you don’t already have a gap tool, get one (or something similar). I think they’re essential to have wether you off-road or not. In addition to the diagnostic capabilities, you can dial in extra height in the suspension instead of...
I’m not a professional photographer and I don’t play one on TV, but here’s the few I got. I was a little bummed as we were driving out that it was so cloudy, but it actually turned out to have a cool effect.
I’ll be making the long haul from Heber, planning on meeting up with those who are meeting in Tooele. I’ll have my 8yo and maybe my 2 teenage boys, if I can get them up in time. I’ll be in a gray LR3.
