Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I have the ARB single/compact mounted under the hood. When I air down to 17psi, it takes 3m45s to go back up to 37/40psi per tire. I have a compressed air tank, 10ib, and really like it, but you have to remember to fill, wonder how much air is in it and it takes up SPACE. If I had to do it over...
I run 37-40 day to day and down to 17 when hitting anything from rub-boards to 4x4 terrain. Also take the Tiger Moth down to 17. I use the Billet 4x4 Trailhead Deflators, set to 17 cold... which seems to put the tires somewhere around 17-20 hot. There are several formulas out there for tire size...
Installed 4” bumper LED lights, installed inline SAE switch for compressor, installed SAE Y, installed new washer nozzle (broke original working on compressor wiring), installed two downstream oxygen sensors, built a tailgate table...took one of the pups for a couple rides.
When it is just me and the pups, a ground tent or ARB awning room (think that would be an other). When my wife is along, it is a TAXA TM trailer, with the awning room off the back.
We like the trailer a lot. It is lightweight, but along with that comes some durability issues. Nothing that cannot be mitigated. We pull and push it into some pretty rough terrain.
Hi all! Glad to be here.
From snowy Colorado Springs (at least today).
We explore in a 2011 Jeep JKU that is continually “upgraded”. I also ride a severely modified KLR 685 for trips also.
I have been exploring by vehicle since I was kid and have never really stopped.
Cheers, Chad
