I have a set I don’t use anymore. The locking knobs are damage and will need to be replaced but the mounts themselves are fine.

I've also used something similar to manage wires on the backside of my roof racks wind deflector and they work great.

I can no longer go through them with the rack I put on my jeep. Last time I tried, the tech working said I would be fine and I definitely wasn't. Too much height and stuff to get caught on. Even in a touchless wash I'd be worried it wouldn't sense your lights and knock them right off...

In all seriousness though, it would require more wiring, but could you potentially chase the wire up the b or c pillars? or maybe go from the engine bay along the frame under the vehicle and then chase it up the tailgate or trunk seal

I agree with you that they are expensive, but they are made in America and the customer service is excellent. Any question I've asked over the 4 years of having the Spod was usually answered within a day or less. I once thought I had an issue with parasitic draw on my battery and the Spod tech...

I have an Spod mounted under the hood. I purchased one of the jeep specific kits that mounts the switch panel above the rear view mirror. Super clean and simple to use, especially if you dont know too much about electricity. I believe Spod makes a more universal kit but dont quote me on that.

Seems like there is only primitive camping there, which I like, but probably wont do that weekend. A friend and I may break off and go do a day hike there though. looks like a cool place

Are there any camping opportunities in the area? I'm going to try and stay in Charlotte and make a weekend of this instead of just driving down for the day.
