Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
It was nice to finally put some faces to the names. Great meeting you @Roots66 as well as @The Roach ... and family. Looking forward to doing some trips with y'all in the future. It would have been nice to have met more of the crew, but there will be plenty of time for that at future meetups.
Do you have a lift? I was there last month. The trail is fairly easy. No real serious rock crawling. There are a couple sketchy areas if you don't. If someone is with you that can spot, I think you'll be ok. If you're heading to Telluride, the worst parts will be after you summit. There are...
That's the only one I stayed at while I was in SD. There are a few others in the Black Hills. I use the app FreeRoam. It shows dispersed, free, and paid campsites. You can filter to only see free sites which include dispersed sites.
Smart. I had the same idea. I put this on the outside of my rig, to let others know, in case of an emergency. Every second counts. I need one for the FAK, now that I see this.
I have used Cooper Discoverer STT on my 91 Wrangler for many years. Durable, good tread life, not too noisy on the highway. Can't speak for the MAXX, but I'm sure they're just as good, if not better.
The lift was Tuff Country. As for the axle, I was already planning on selling the truck, so I just found a replacement. There are options out there for beefier CVs.
Maybe someone else on here will have more info for that. If I had the money, I would go with these...
Welcome from San Antonio. I just want to say I second the suggestion from Kent R about upgrading the cv axles. I had an 05 Sierra with a 6 in. lift, and I learned real quick that a lot of stress is put on the joints at the new angle. I only found this out after mine had a catastrophic failure...
Is the mattress bad, or are you just wanting to replace it? I put a 2 inch memory foam topper over the original mattress, and it works fine for me. I'm 6'4" 210lbs. I wouldn't go any larger than 2 inch though, because it is a little more effort to close the RTT now.
