Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I never realized those Mercedes/etc overlanding rigs were so huge. Your van looks so small next to it. And how fortunate they were nearby!

Though I appreciate the owning up, it's hard to believe someone would go out there without reading anything about the area. The first things I read about the trail when I googled it have to do with the monument and cairns.
I was thinking about the cards...I'll probably keep giving out stickers because it's something that they'd want after even after they go to the website...I wonder...if there's any way to print or stamp the site on the back of a sticker...Hmmmmm...

I saw those pictures @Steve and thought, "oh it's one of those guys!" Awesome hobby and an easy obsession. I miss weather. I live in a place with very little change season to season and very little rain. I yearn for "inclimate" or bad weather often.
I love the idea. I gave out three stickers over the weekend. One guy I always see in my neighborhood driving by in a 3rd Gen like mine Always...always waves and gives me a Shaka shake. I finally saw him park and I gave him one and told him all about the site and the Rally.
